The planet in the Legendary Ending is Reach. The reason why Bungie said they put that ending is because the Master Chief ends where he started, in a cryogenic pod. Now, following that theme, it would make sense that he would end where his military career began, on Reach. Some will say that the star is a different color and that it disproves this theory. It does not. Stars change color. They go through stages. So that's my theory. Thanks for reading.

1: it takes hundreds of thousands of years for stars to change.

2: what about the planet behind reach in the trailer.

3: reach was glassed so there would be no civilization, and there are clearly lights on the legendary planet.

:(

Sorry. Please, no one reply to this thread it's useless. Now I see how wrong I was. I thought it was a really good theory. I was wrong. Especially about the star thing. I had a moment of stupidity.

Pretty sure that planet was Onyx.

Reach was destroyed before halo3. also look at the armor in the reach picture. It's like prototype stuff.
