You cannot dissuade those people with facts. Not even if the truth comes directly from Bungie.
It's a fact, that the vast majority of people will draw conclusions quickly about what they're seeing and then attempt to rectify their beliefs by selecting information that supports their views. It's human nature. Your chances of convincing these people that their conclusions are wrong are very slim. Even when the game comes out and they're proven wrong they will find it hard to accept the truth.
Mark my words. When the game comes out you will see a whole rash of angry and dissapointed posts from people claiming that Halo: Reach is a failure. What's really going on is the people had built up expectations and beliefs concerning what Reach would be and when they're wrong these people rebel against the truth by directing their sense of dissapointment at the game.
