If i died tomorrow, what would people remember me for?

I've not read the books, i only know a little from what i've read on the Halo 3 forum and the intro cut scene on halo 2, but we already know how this ends.

I'm guessing that master chief will make a cameo at the end (most likely just in voice over the comm) then flee orbit of reach at the end, setting up Halo: Combat Evolved in the process.

Then everyone dies.

I just can't see how they're going to pull it off. Anyone?

(I know it's a little early for speculation, it's just that this is the thing i'm most looking forward to. That and the multiplayer.)

(Also, I have faith in Bungie. Halo 3 ending was awesome in my opinion so i know they'll pull something out of the bag)

Ha, i know i really should. I started reading fall of reach when i borrowed it from a friend, (got to around the part where john first gets the armour.)

Anyone have a link to where i could get them from? I'm from the UK.

EDIT: In fact, i have another question. Is it possible that by reading the books halo: reach could be spoiled for me? If so i'll have to pass on the books until after the game.

The Halo REACH Script (post thoughts in thread)

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

Halo: The Fall of Reach doesn't even detail the fall of Reach (just the first 15 mins of it), so you're fine reading it. If S-259 and -320 are Spartans in the game, reading the books (TFoR and First Strike, which details most of the fall of Reach) won't matter because those two Spartans would logically be members of the unnamed Team Beta, whose story is completely untold in the novels.
