Ive been hearing rumors about a class system in multiplayer for halo: reach and think it would be pretty cool. Here's how i think it would work. Read the whole post before making assumptions. Thanks.

Human:
Classes:
Assault------>AR, Ma5k automatic and pistol
Rifleman---->Ma5k semiautomatic , Br and pistol
Special ops.-----> SMG (silenced) and pistol
Heavy weapons----->Rockets(1Cip), HMG (not portable turret, something else) and SMG (un-silenced)
CQB: Human version of mauler?, Shotgun (2 Clips), Pistol

There would be other weapons around the map like power weapons and dropped weapons on the map. Also, weapons dropped would only have the ammo in the actual gun, not the reserve ammo.
Some classes would only get a certain amount of uses per match like Heavy weapons and QCB.
The teams would be Covenant and UNSC. When you play as covenant you use your elite model and for UNSC, your spartan model. It would be large teams as well. (10 vs 10? or more?), but it would have AI bots as well that are for example the grunts and regular marines to fight alongside you.

Ideas:
Maps would be big and there would be a proper map editor.
Zombies will seem like zombies (Firefight with flood?).
Firefight of course.
Better customization.
Spawning. Spawn in Carrier and drop pod down? Chose weapons in carrier and such.
Pelican as vehicle!
Different 'hogs!
Different environments that change vehicles and armor. (Avalanche maybe?)
Cover system.
Revive system.
Squad based game mode.
Race game type and maps

The class system above would be equivalents for covenant but QCB would have sword and Spec ops. would have poor active camo temporary, etc.
