Let me first state that i am not 100% sure this is accurate. All of it though, if i recall correctly, has been confirmed by Bungie.

First thing's first: The BR. No, there is no BR in ODST. This incluedes campaign and firefight. This does not include online multiplayer (which will be explained later). Get over it, because it is too late for Bungie to change it now.

RPG VS FPS. ODST is an open world FPS. There is no "ranking up" or "skill progression" in the campaign. The only way it coul be related to an RPG is that you can go wherever you want, whenever you want, and select which flashbacks you go to first.

When it happens: Many people are confused about when ODST happens in relation to the other halo games. It is quite simple: it happens during the second half of Halo 2, maybe reaching into the timeline of Halo 3. For reference, the Rookie jumps out of his pod at the beginning of the game six hours after Halo 2's level "Metropolis." The explosion that set him off course is the same one seen in the Halo 2 cutscene after "Metropolis"

Brutes VS Elites: I'm 99.9% sure Bungie has confirmed that there are no elites in ODST. I forget their reasoning for this, but it is what it is. It's my guess that Bungie thinks that gameplay is more important than storyline, which is also my opinion on the matter.

2 Disks: As many of you probably know, ODST comes on two disks. Disk one contains only ODST content, including firefight and campaign. Disk two contains Halo 3's original multiplayer, including matchmaking, custom games and forge. Anything in Halo 3's multiplayer will be on this disk, and people with the ODST disk will be able to play with people with the Halo 3 disk. Basically, the BR is on disk two, but not disk one.

Health system: As an ODST, you will not have shields. Instead, you will have "stamina" which allows you to take a few hits until you are vulnerable to actual damage. You will know when your stamina is low when the edge of your screen turns red. You will not have a stamina bar, but you will have a health bar. Yes, thats right, you have a health bar, and you need to find health kiosks throughout the city if you wish to survive.

That's everything i can think of that people are being confused about right now, but please tell me if there is anything else i should say or if any of my information is wrong.

1st Update: Sorry, i forgot to include information regarding pre-orders and stuff. First off is the maps. Anyone who buys ODST will get all Halo 3 maps ever released programmed into disk 2. This includes the newest part of the Mythic Map Pack. Regarding Johnson pre-order bonus: Anyone who preorders ODST at select retailers will get a token to play as Sgt. Johnson in firefight mode only. Sorry, but i don't have a list of which retailers are participating, but the top forum topics thing has a thread about that. Last: special edition. The only difference between regular and special edition is that you get an ODST controller (worth $50) for only $40 extra.

Thanks for reading.

Seems to check out that this is all true.
