Subject: Reach is Halo 3 Legendary planet *Version 2.0*

Go Rams and Missouri!

Okay, before you say anything, I have read the book and I do have a basic understanding of geometrics and overall intelligence.

Okay, compare these 2 planets:
Reach.
Legendary Ending

The camera is in positions that we don't know, so we can easily tell that these 2 are the same planet. For one, they both have spherical objects in the backround that give off light. This is completely compelling proof that they are the same planet. More proof is that they are both spheres and both have symbols on them. The symbols are exactly the same except for the fact that are different in size, shape, color, and just about every other aspect.

If you want another great example of this, look at our own solar system.

Mars
Jupiter

Notice how the camera angle is the same for both of these. This is a way we can tell that they are the same size. We also tell that they are exactly the same shape. If you look further, you will notice they both have similar colors, which just happen to be exactly the same! The symbols are there too! Both Mars and Jupiter have some lines on them! If you were not blind, you would see that these 2 planets are the same, just like Reach and the Halo 3 Legendary Ending Planet.

Okay, now that we've determined that they are the same planet, how did Master Chief get there? We all know that it is time travel. Time travel is very cliched, but it is only in the best of sci-fi adventures, which is Star Trek. There are many influences of Star Trek in Halo, including aliens, ships, planets, people, and now time travel. If you think that time travel is not possible, here is why:

Graphic that I found after extensive research.
Of course, one source is not enough. More compelling proof!

So now we know how he got there, but what does this mean. It's pretty obvious. Master Chief comes back and saves everybody! We even see him in the trailer for Halo: Reach!

Forward Unto Dawn This ship is seen in the trailer here. Now you may say, "But StopSpe, those ships look nothing alike, that could be any ship!" You are wrong. The Covenant were too holy to destroy any ships on Reach, all they did was glass it and move on. If you read the books, you would know what the hell I'm talking about. Here is a graphic to show that they can be (and are) the same ship:

Time travel alters the appearance of things.

These ships are the same, it's just that the time travel hurt everything on the ship (as it was half broken) and caused it to change shape.

Thank you for reading the second version of my perfect theory. Oh, and if you say the suns are different color, if you look closely, you will see that the light is coming from the moons (just like in Halo 3's ending) and not that red sun. The night time makes it so that the moons reflect blue (because the large ocean is now under it) in the Halo 3 ending.

How about this.
That is Reach but it's glassed at the end of halo 3 and it's also abandoned ...
And it's a hint about the next game!

and its a Pre.

I did read the book Fall of Reach, but one question:

If the Covenant did not destroy any ships because of their "holyness" then why is that ship destroyed?

Never mind I think I get it, but if this happened before Halo then how did Master Chief get back to Reach if he went back through the teleport after destroying the Arc?

Wouldn't there be a quarter shadow if there are two moons, and one is overlapping the other?

Please say this is a joke thread, because never have I seen some so blatantly wrong being posted as fact. There are so many faults in this theory, I could spend hours naming them all.

Absolute Garbage.

They have the same angle in the picture, so they must be the same!

Please note that this is exactly what supporters of this theory believe (they think that since Reach is shown at the same angle as the legendary planet that they are the same).

About the ship part, wasn't the ship cut off at the end of Halo 3.
So Masterchief/cortana's part was sent into an unknown part of the universe and the Arbiter's was sent back to Earth.

Therefore for your theory of the ship in the Reach trailer to be the same ship MC used to escape in the Halo 3 ending, only half of it should still be there.

As well as this, why didn't we see Reach getting attacked in the ending? The bright lights of explosions, like in the Reach trailer, would have been visible.

Is it not also just possible that the ship is there in tact because it's set in the past? That could just be the same ship indeed, but in the past before everything happen, not just from it being warped into a time hole from the end of Halo 3.

If you look, it's not destroyed, it's like firing Odst or a cannon, idk really.

Also if timetravel did happen the same events in halo 1, halo 2 and halo 3 would happen.
Because the future already happened.
So There would be two chiefs in halo reach time.
So if he did time travel he would just be doing what the future him already done, with getting caught out by the unsc.
Also Did the present masterchief really do enough to scare the covenant.

This is a much more realistic theory. The ending of Halo 3 can just be MC and Cortana being warped towards Reach by accident, in which they show it in it's abandoned, barron and glassed form. It definitely looks void of all life, and colour seems lost.

All this time travel stuff is nonsense.
Not only is it cliche but it would be increasingly hard to hold the whole plot together, as well as patch holes in the plot created by this time travel (e.g. duplicates of cortana/masterchief, consequences of changes of the past from the future, etc).
The whole Halo plot will literally fall apart.

We've seen what we presume are the main characters in the banner, and I'd say its safe to say that Master Chief isn't there...
Perhaps the legendary ending is even saved for another Halo game other than Reach - who knows.

But one thing is for sure - the ending to Halo 3 does NOT have to be directly linked to the game following it.

Remember Halo 1 Legendary ending.
We saw Johnson die while hugging and Elite.
Johnson is still alive.
That was a Hint that Elite and Human will be friends.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Yeah, no. Stop fooling yourself PLEASE.

Ok it's not that I don't think it could be time travel, it's just that what this guy wrote makes absolutely no logical sense, and he writes it with such determination; it just annoys me a bit (hence hoping it's a joke thread)

Firstly, we do not know they are the same planet. They look different, one is green and blue, the other is black. Simple.

For one, they both have spherical objects in the backround that give off light. This is completely compelling proof that they are the same planet. This cannot be passed off as fact. With the logic this guy has, I can say that if I take an green F1 car, put a sphere giving light behind it, it is exactly the same as a neon yellow F1 with a sphere giving light. They have the same shape, so they must be the same car... /sarcasm :|

And I can continue if you really want....

A whole bunch of speculation.

OK, wow. Just wow. I think the first problem with your theory is your wording. If you say two things are exactly the same except for their, and I quote, "size, shape, color, and just about every other aspect," then they're not the same. Reach has two planetoids behind it while the Legendary ending has a light source.

Your diagrams of wormholes don't really represent anything. You post them here and say they explain how time travel is possible like we're all astrophysicists.

I read the books and have no earthly idea what you're referring to about the Covenant being "too holy." They came through guns blazing and killed nearly everything around.

Finally, the light is not coming from the moons. They are half in shadow on the Reach trailer indicating a different light source. Don't know what you mean about the red sun.

I;m not saying that you're not correct in saying that they might be the same planet. In fact, I think that would be awesome if we got to step back into the Chief's shoes after a brief stint as a mere human. I just think your argument is a bit flawed. That's all.

Yea I agree with you that this is probably a joke thread. It's just that most people say time travel is a horrible theory without backing it up. There is a little evidence saying that it could be time travel.

No "probably" about it. It's not just a joke thread. It's a thread to illustrate why time travel theories, and "Reach = Halo 3 Legendary Planetoid" theories are absolutely ridiculous.
