Okay, before you say anything, I have read the book and I do have a basic understanding of geometrics and overall intelligence.
Okay, compare these 2 planets:
Reach.
Legendary Ending
The camera is in positions that we don't know, so we can easily tell that these 2 are the same planet. For one, they both have spherical objects in the backround that give off light. This is completely compelling proof that they are the same planet. More proof is that they are both spheres and both have symbols on them. The symbols are exactly the same except for the fact that are different in size, shape, color, and just about every other aspect.
If you want another great example of this, look at our own solar system.
Mars
Jupiter
Notice how the camera angle is the same for both of these. This is a way we can tell that they are the same size. We also tell that they are exactly the same shape. If you look further, you will notice they both have similar colors, which just happen to be exactly the same! The symbols are there too! Both Mars and Jupiter have some lines on them! If you were not blind, you would see that these 2 planets are the same, just like Reach and the Halo 3 Legendary Ending Planet.
Okay, now that we've determined that they are the same planet, how did Master Chief get there? We all know that it is time travel. Time travel is very cliched, but it is only in the best of sci-fi adventures, which is Star Trek. There are many influences of Star Trek in Halo, including aliens, ships, planets, people, and now time travel. If you think that time travel is not possible, here is why:
Graphic that I found after extensive research.
Of course, one source is not enough. More compelling proof!
So now we know how he got there, but what does this mean. It's pretty obvious. Master Chief comes back and saves everybody! We even see him in the trailer for Halo: Reach!
Forward Unto Dawn This ship is seen in the trailer here. Now you may say, "But StopSpe, those ships look nothing alike, that could be any ship!" You are wrong. The Covenant were too holy to destroy any ships on Reach, all they did was glass it and move on. If you read the books, you would know what the hell I'm talking about. Here is a graphic to show that they can be (and are) the same ship:
Time travel alters the appearance of things.
These ships are the same, it's just that the time travel hurt everything on the ship (as it was half broken) and caused it to change shape.
Thank you for reading the second version of my perfect theory. Oh, and if you say the suns are different color, if you look closely, you will see that the light is coming from the moons (just like in Halo 3's ending) and not that red sun. The night time makes it so that the moons reflect blue (because the large ocean is now under it) in the Halo 3 ending.
