Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

If you've followed along with the E3 coverage and all the ODST videos, you'd have picked up on the fact that there'll be four-player co-op around the open world city of New Mombasa. Since this game is mostly open world, you and three buddies can explore New Mombasa completely.

How will you play with your buddies? Will you use tactics or brute force? How will you fit into your squad?

I'll hopefully stick with them as the demolitions guy. Woo for the kaboom.

Yeah, before I go into co-op or Firefight I want to beat the game solo on Heroic or Normal.

Well, this was something I was wanting, other than some ODST on ODST multiplayer. But I'm pretty sure when my friends and I play, we'll use some sort of guerilla tactics and flank every chance we get. But as the squad sniper, if there is one found in the world, I'd be used to take out brutes from a distance, or as a scout.

edit: We'd also play it on legendary

Without me, it's just "Aweso".

Split up on Mongooses, and if one of us runs into trouble the other will launch a cavalry charge on their flanks.

"You are, all of you, vermin. Cowering in the dirt, thinking... what? That you might escape the coming fire? Your world will burn until its surface is but glass!" -Prophet of Truth

I will stick with my friends like always, although I think I will split up from them and see how it goes, see what happens when you split up just for the fun of it.

You aint elites or MC anymore.

From the vids I saw, even being out of cover or getting too much agro is REALLY bad for you.

I'll play 4 player Co-op and have 2 squads using the buddy system to secure frontal assault and flanking maneuvers. The frontal assault guys better know how to find good cover, fast. And the flankers better have good aim... Fast.

How does that have to do with Fire and Flanking?

My friends are the type who dont really care what the game calls for "It's just a game" my friend would tell me. But while they would shoot away at grunts I would find a way to stealthly work my way around to avoid an damage or uneeded combat.

I can't wait to explore the streets of New Mombasa. I'm going to first find a nice route or main street to trek on then I'll start exploring inside the buildings (if we can get in them) and then I'll try to find cool easter eggs and hiding spots to play pranks on the Covenant (think Ding Dong Ditch, but more like shoot a grunt and then run away from the Brutes. I expect the artists to have done an amazing job.

Why does Bungie put us through such avid anticipation?

My buds and I will wing it.

Do not judge a person a fool by the foolish things they do, but by how many times the foolish things are done

I know, this is what I'm most looking forward too. It's going to be amazing.

First, I think we're gonna go around searching the Police Department or areas that are likely to have stashes of powerful weapons, then we'll go ambushing Covenant patrols, then we'll do some Mongoose/Warthog racing, then explore for easter eggs, then try to find sniping perches and take out some more Covies, then look for glitches.

But first I wanna see what happens story-wise. :)

this guy like made me cream my pants cause he explained what i want to do perfectly
thank you dirtyshisno

J-H

Well my friend and I have allready agreed the first thing we are doing is heading towards the New Mombassa Police Department (Shown on a listing of key places, on the tactical map during an E3 interview). We're heading there to basically do four things:

1. Get some weapons from any potential armories
2. Get some vehicles from any potetenial police garages
3. Search around for useful things such as info on a potential police database etc.
4. Set up an easily defendable fall-back point incase "it" hits the fan and we either get split up or heavily out numbered.

ODST is going to be the shizzle :)

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Charging from fight to fight, weapons ready.
