I have faith in Bungie and hope that they would not make a new multiplayer that is just a re-worked version of Halo 3 multiplayer so that we have to buy a new game and start buying new maps. I think they are aiming for something totally new.

Xbox has needed a good MMO to compete and what game has such a big following to jusitify isolating a lot of servers for. Right now, games are played off the host's console, but for an MMO, Xbox live would have to have servers running the game, hosting for us. I would like to play a good FPS MMO, because I am no fan of being a dwarf or wizard and having to brew BS healing potions or taking turns hitting each other.

Reach would be the place, because like how Star Wars had to go back to the Old Replublic to have so many Jedis and Siths, Halo has to go back to Reach to have reason to have so many Spartans.

I don't really know what Bungie has in mind, I just don't think they would make us go through all the mess just to get a better looking Halo 3 Multiplayer.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

Well, they may certainly have larger ground wars. With larger vehicles and what-not. It'd be pretty interesting to feel in the midst of a battle instead of a stealth mission.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

I think that the gameplay should feel a lot like Halo 1. But to set it apart, and to really show the Spartans shine in their golden age, we would need to have squad controls (basic stuff, one for each direction on the Dpad), less marine allies, and much more enemies to balance this out.

Yea, but Bungie specifically said that Halo: ODST was their last Halo project and that they wanted to be an independent Gaming company to break from Microsoft. What brought them back to the table?

Did they bounce the rent check and say, "Hey, lets rehash Halo 3 Multiplayer and make some more money on map packs."

I think they are a little more innovative than that, because no matter how you slice it, any renovation to Halo 3 multiplayer would still just be the same, but prettier.

but in a BIG battle with BIG vehicles, dont infantry just seem useless? they should make different game modes. CLASSIC for something like H2 and H3 multiplayer. WAR for a Halo Wars type of FPSMMO, etc.

im not talking about a new skin. I want a new game w/ a new engine ut i dont want them to go too far out with it. I want a jump like from H2 to H3

But just think how great it would be to just have huge on going battles for bases or territories. You join either the Marines as a soldier and work you wait up through ranks to pilots, snipers, or eventually Spartans or join the Covenant and start as a Grunt and work up through Jackels to eventually an Elite.

That would be a blast.

that would be wierd. O look im a Grunt. OMG i just evolved into a Jackel

Its a game, reality doesn't exactly fit anyway. You just get to rank up. Like if I am playing multiplayer and one game am on the red team and the next on the blue, I am not mad that I didn't see a can of spray paint or have some realistic story of why I switched sides.

But for you, we will talk to bungie and have you start off as an infant Elite and slowly grow up. Your first 100 exp points will have to be made by smashing bugs with your rattle though ;)

i'm not gonna lie guys. i loved halo 1, because that was my very first person shooter that i had ever played. it was unique. i loved halo 2 because it had HALO on it (and the multiplayer.) and then Halo 3... it just felt like any other generic shooter, kind of like call of duty but i just had a shield. the halo series never depicted the spartans true potential. they're supposed to smash faces to pulp with one punch. They could make a little in game action buttons like Splinter Cell conviction; to really portray the strength of the spartan. and for those who say that this would might make the game too easy, well then just add more covenant units, so it would prevent the player from just running and gunning. i just feel that a whole new gameplay style is needed. i want huge battles and i don't want to feel like im the only one on the planet that is fighting for humanity's sake.

idk... it might be unfair. Lets say you get your 50 in Team Doubles and you are now you are Arbiter Status. Now you go into Team Slayer as a rank of 1 and you face against baby Elites with Raddles? Or are you suppose they take out ALL the playlists and make a giant WAR Mode playlist?

My first FPS was 007 Goldeneye for Playstation... it sucked

  • 06.17.2009 10:22 PM PDT

hahaha, that would suck. No, I am just making a wish list here. I don't work for Bungie and neither does my brother.

If it was an MMO like I hoped, there would be no playlists. Just a MMO war with different bases or territories that battles are ever on going and I can join in. Like WOW, you build up your rank, and do raids on cities, big battles on battle grounds, and stuff like that, Bungie would just take out the stupid stuff like fishing, waving hi to people, or brewing dumb potions.

What ever it is, I hope it is great, I just want more.
