What if in Halo Reach, there was a campaign/matchmaking game where you are a younger master chief and you were being trained/ playing king of the hill on your home planet? Of course there would be no actual violence, but it would be cool to play as a 5 year old Chief pushing toddlers out of the way to become king of the sandbox.

Loyalty is all I have.

I think it would be cool to have flashbacks, or even levels based on the Spartans training.
Anybofy ever play Republic Commando? It had a really cool opening where you flashed through clone training and life, really well done.

Well, at least some people like my idea...*sob*

Maybe as an intro. For example, you see a young MC in the training camp and you have the instructor explaining some intense battle situation, then the scene cuts to black and you find yourself grown up, fighting, in that exact same situation.

sounds good. You could be like in the middle of battle and suddenly you flash back to games you played as a child, which could give you power ups if you completed it right.

I'm off to school now, but keep this thread running! I want a big poll!

chief wasn't a kid though, he was still fighting and we might still play as him maybe in his squad

Reach takes place August 2552 a week before Halo CE. MC would just be the same age
anyway 5 year old master chief pwning would be awesome for like 5 mins nothing more

Sorry to say but he wasn't born a 7 ft tall cyborg in armor, he was conscripted while a child and trained for many years before Halo CE, I think he was almost 40 at that time

halo3 odst 9/22/09

halo reach falls in 2010 (also search halo reach on amazon.com you can pre order it) i didnt so you might not want to

it all depends how old master chief is when he is at reach (probably young adult)

ROBOHOG IS VERY BRILLIANT AND STUFF.

No. Because it wouldn't have guns, it wouldn't have aliens, and it wouldn't have massive human tanks killing aliens with guns. Basically, the whole point of the Halo series would be chucked out of the window. And it would be cheesy.

  • 06.18.2009 2:27 AM PDT

There would be aliens because reach was when the covenant was first encountered by the chief. Any self respecting noob would know that

Bungie never stated that, they just said it was a prequel.

Maybe as a training level, like Arrival, and if Natal was out, we could use that.
I can imagine a level based off the ''Ring the Bell'' game, or when they were in the forest, then they could have the Sparten's trying to capture the Rebel Leader.

Doesn't need to be stated. Reach was attacked in the same year as Halo CE and 2 and 3. It's in the books, the events of Reach lead up to Halo CE where captain keyes was escaping Reach with the last surviving spartan MC. kinda nerdy but meh

maybe for the first capmaign mission, or couple of the first, its all the spartans training.
