Sanghelios, 1st Age of Destruction, near Rahahem (Capitol of Sanghelios)

Sunee' Eu' Mones leaned forward upon his hover chair. His two frog-like eyes twisted within their heavy-lidded sockets. His race, the Shan-Syumm, last of their kind, had stolen the Dreadnought and left their gods-fore-saken planet. In the middle of the rising sun the might craft teathered to the planet had activated, blasting away thousands of miles of Shan-Syumm cities and population. But the ones who had died were the enemy, they did not matter to Sunee's side of the race. Now they were alone, their home planet destroyed by a super nova and their population declining due to their strict in-bredding onlys.
Sunee studied the holographic display in front of him. It showed how their own forces dealt against the new enemy, which called themselves "Sangheilies." The Shan-Syumm bad found this planet in hopes and their search of finding a new home or the prophasized "Halo Rings." Instead they had stumbled upon a very war-like, barbaric civilization growing and thriving upon a volcanic planet.
At first the two races had tried to meet peacfully, but soon war broke out as mistrust turned into hate over the use of Forerunner relics. The Sangheilies apperantley believed that the relics should not be studied but rather worshipped and preserved. They had been appalled when they had found out what the Shan-Syumm had done to the Dreadnought craft.
The Shan- Syumm on the other hand, believed that Forerunner relics were to be worshippped, and studied also, to better help their understanding of how the gods had become so. They had turned angry when the Sangheilies had refused to grant them landing, or allow them to study their relics. They had started blasting away at the planets surface, and the Sangheilies had in turn retaliated by destroying the small population of Shan-Syumm gathering on the surface, roughly 12,000 of their kind had been masacered by the Sangheilies.

Sunee sighed thankfully as his forces, armed in shielded war chairs such as his managed to drive of a small armada of Sangheili forces. He lazily reached his arm over to the communications drive from the bridge of the Dreadnought and turned it on. Then he moistened his lips and spoke into the modified microphone.
"Victory is ours! My fellow brethen!" Sunee cried, trying to sound as if they had just managed to get the Sangheili to surrender. Though he knew that it would never happen, they together were proud races which would never surrender or withdraw.
"Greetings Sin' Karr," responded the voice of their chief war general, Nalla' Netk' Uhem. He had referred Sunee by the Shan-Syumm ancient language, Sin' Karr literrally meaning Leader of Us.
"How many have you lost Uhem?" Sunee asked.
"Well, the Sangheilies only brought 3,000 warriors on this one so we managed to send them away with 1,500. We ourselves lost around 2,300 out of my small front force of 7,000." His voice sounded grim, though the Shan-Syumm had better techonology, they were numbered only at about 20 million. While the Sangheilies sported around 5 billion of their kind upon their home planet. Also, the Sangheilies were stronger warriors, having that be their main if not only task within their 300 cycle lives.
Sunee nodded, "thank you Nit' Karrl, you may set up markings and then return to the central base." He had generously rewarded the general by naming him Praised Warrior of Creed. Though they had lost many, the General had managed to keep the numbers lower than usual armada encounters. If only all of their Shan-Syumm generals were as good as Uhem.
