Well, why not? To those of you who say that Halo Wars sucks, I'm not talking about gameplay, and I'm not talking about the story, regardless of how "messed up" it seemed to people. I'm talking about: should the UNSC and Covenant vehicles in Halo Wars show up in Halo: Reach as well?

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

Why? Why should we have Grizzlies or Rhinos or Wolverines? That would overpower the vehicles and center gameplay on controlling vehicles rather than being on foot. Plus, there aren't enough people on one team to command that many vehicles. The game would just be a vehicle war.

But maybe only in campaign to add effect.

Yes, but add new Covenant vehicles as well. It's not like we would be able to pilot them, but seeing them flying or driving around would be cool (ex. I love how we saw a couple Longswords in H3).

I'm serious (we saw one in Halo 1, but it wasn't in combat, there was a Longsword on The Ark in H3)

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

Yeah, I want to pilot a seraph, or, failing that, at least see one.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

A hawk might be kind of fun to fly instead of a hornet.

I agree..It would make the game more different than Halo 1, 2 & 3.. I would want to see a few new things.

Well, Longswords also appear on Halo 2, but they're moving very quickly past some window during a cutscene so they're not too obvious.
As for Seraphs. During the mission The Arbiter in Halo 2 there is a spacecraft of some sort in the hangar of the Forerunner gas mine which the Heretics use as a base, could that be a Seraph? Also I think Seraphs are seen in the space battle during the cutscene at the start of The Ark on Halo 3.

As for different and new vehicles in Halo Reach? Why not, they may not make it into Multiplayer, but they could probably find a niche in Campaign easily enough.

Well what I think is Halo: Reach might be sort of a Battlefield-like game with Halo elements still intact. If anything, because the Battle of Reach was a major engagement, you should at least see them in the foreground or something, as someone stated above.

wolverines and rhinos are my only additions from halo wars. atrillery and anti-air, most likely used by the army. but id also love to set what an in-atmosphere fighter would look like as a long sword is primarily for space fights and a lil big. also an APC, warthogs are a little lacking in the protection department.

  • 06.18.2009 4:33 PM PDT

I'm a great guy really.

Hopefully at least some, I'd love to control a locust.

  • 06.18.2009 4:57 PM PDT

I agree with the poster who said that a lot of the units from Halo Wars would make the game too vehicle-centric. the wolverines and rhinos are pointless in the Halo FPS series, they fulfill functions that are served by warthog variants that Ensemble either utilized the wrong way in Halo Wars or left out completely.

the vulture is the same size as the pelican in Halo Wars, and Bungie has yet to let the player control one of those.

hawks would be a fun vehicle to control, but Bungie already had to nerf the base hornet in multiplayer because it was so overpowered. so it's a little hard to believe they would let us have a laser-spewing flying machine of death with two passengers armed with rocket launchers as a variant of an already overpowered unit.

Floodians whom I'm in a love square with:

camer guy 65
D A F T (daft_punk)
Sacred Flea

I watch this on loop when I'm bored.

Locusts would be interesting to drive, it would please the people who would want to drive a scarab-esque vehicle.

I am the leader of the Halo Machinima team TEAMHALOSWAT, or THS for short. Make sure to visit www.teamhaloswat.blogspot.com for THS news.

u can see seraphs in halo 3, beggining of the ark

anyways, people always wanted to drive a scarab, well, put a locust in, and boom, problem solved.

how cool would it be to drive a locust and blast people with its laser.

id love to drive a locust and laser people.

as for other vehicles from halo wars, at least put them in the campaign, since the aa wraith from halo 3 isnt drivable (supposed to not be able to), why cant the other vehicles be in it.

though if the hawk is in multiplayer, then put in the vampire (hornet = vampire and hawk = banshee, the way they fly)

How? They could just limit the number of them on a map.

Wolverines and other non leader special units would be a good addition, but I think things like Hawks should just stay in Halo Wars.

Aye thats a seraph.

They might not add all of the vehicles but it would be nice to drive a locust and a wolverine

the covenant have a anti air wraith so why cant we have a wolverine

we want a scarab but it would be overpowered so give us a locust

but for the wolverine make it so its missles only lock onto air vehichles or it would be to overpowered or just make it so it cant aim at the ground
