I think it would be fun, but I can almost guarantee you that it won't happen. The reason(s) are simple: Besides the fact that making a new multiplayer experience takes time that they probably didn't have on a two year dev cycle, only a certain number of people play Halo. Despite Halo's chart topping player count, that number will only shrink as time goes on. Halo 3 will already lose many of it's players to ODST, but by sharing the multiplayer they have ensured the "deepest pool" of players to draw from, if you will. By creating a new multiplaer, they would split the Halo population in two, making matches take longer to find, etc. While it would be fun to play against others as an ODST with ODST weapons, I think Bungie made the right choice by keeping the same multiplayer. Guess I'll just have to settle for killing my teammates in campaign. *sigh*
