Subject: Halo 3: ODST is $48 in the UK (£29.99). WOOOO!

Funny how a British guy can create a thread and rub something in our faces. But once an American replies with a sarcastic answer half you guys attack him and the entire USA.

If I pre- order it now, but then the collectors edition becomes available, can I cancel my
pre-order and get that instead without losing any money?

I'm in the UK btw

I'm happy, but there was no need for this obvious attack on our American friends. I expect they'll get a price cut soon anyway.

Yes, and our one trillion+ dollar debt reflects greatly on that.

You really had to sell how awesome you Brits are in this one miniscule occasion by using the word "bloody"?

You really had to make a point with the word "awesome"?

The US is mostly full of uneducated hicks who think that anyone who isn't white should be slaughtered.

Every country has racist and stupid people, in America they're just louder ;)

Anyway, thanks for the information =)

Actually, it does. No other country can accumulate that much debt and keep on trucking like the USA.

True the US has always managed to pay back its debt.
But never close to this much. We sure we can last through this before hitting a depression?

Japan is owes around a trillion less then the USA, but no one seems to give a -blam!-.
Seems like a bad sign to me ;)

Edit: I was wrong, the US debt increased a good bit since the last time I checked.
Still not the best sign.

rich, anti- British Americans

I hope you don't think all of us are anti-British. There are a some of us who are intollerent of anyone not from America, but the majority of America is pretty tolerant of other countries.

(Its $60 in the US btw.)

Its about bloody time, us Brits have had to pay more than the US for video games for decades now, and now we have ODST cheaper than you guys.

(Prepares to get flamed by rich, anti- British Americans who have to pay $12 extra for one game.)

Us Europeans have it easy --- It's going to cost around 43 euros here in France, around 60 US dollars.

Lol @ the whole flamed by rich US Citizens.

The US is mostly full of uneducated hicks who think that anyone who isn't white should be slaughtered. So it wouldn't really matter if they flamed you anyways cause most of their opinions are worthless.

Btw, I live in the US but am a Canadian citizen of Indian origin. (No not Red Indian for all you retards who are gonna ask if I play lacrosse)

The US has one of the highest literacy rates in the world. Albiet, it is dropping, but there is still a large majority of educated people in the US.

Where did you get that statistic? I may be wrong, but unless you can provide proof, I will not belive you. However, if you are right I will admit my mistake and move on.

Well technically he is wrong

Its 99.0% literacy rate
http://www.mrdowling.com/800literacy.html

Education in a country is usually measured by the number of top Universities. Of the top 10 universities in the world more than half are in the United States. The Americans are dumb thing is what most people call a "stereotype".

Yes and no. Think about it this way, someone could have completely perfect grammar, but fail at Math. Alternatively they could have perfect grammar and not know ANYTHING about their past or the present. Education also deals with how ignorant you are, and far too many Americans are ignorant.

I agree with this, but, usually, if a person is good at grammer, than they will be decent at math because those are usually the people who try to do well in school. And yes, many Americans are ignorant. However, not all of us are and I would appreciate it if people didn't assume ALL US citizens are ignorant.

Guys, this isn't about American education, or how to calculate the quality of education.
A good way to check how smart people in an area are on average would be to check exam results, if you really care that much

I don't really see the point of the thread, though. It is good news, but not much to discuss.
