Subject: Dual Weilding Re-fit.

Corn, Oil, and Wine... We need more wine...

It would be nice if they left a shield piece.

I like it when they disappear after killing them, kinda like how the swords did in Halo: CE.

Dual Weild Jackel shields?

No.

Just single weild. One jackel shield is enough.

Edit:

i read it wrong. i thought you meant holding two jackel shields Together hehe.

I'm like a rock. Hard, lazy, hopeless, and charismatic/boring.

I'm perfect, you're not. Can you handle that? I think I'll manage.

REDACTED!- means its not going to happen.

Heres is something it would look like. Haloid

i thought it was cool how they used it viewer discretion advised.

I just realised a flaw in this entire idea. Jackal shields are very weak against plasma, rendering them useless in the campaign.

How come I never get the sniper rifle?!

No, there should be no dual wielding in Halo REACH. It wouldn't make sense in the timeline, and it flat-out ruins gameplay balance (compare Halo 2 Needler to Halo 1/3 Needler). Should we be able to wield one? Sure. But it would take both hands, maybe you could melee with it. [/quote

Its just a concept that hadnt been thought of , besides , it wouldnt be fair to dual wield any of the weapons in halo 1 since they were all so powerful. Also, what does that have to do with the story line anyway, infact the one of the spartans in the book First Strike, used two pistols, and that is imediately after halo 1. So i think using a shield with a dualwieldable weapon would be awesome. But not in multiplayer, because it would kinda suck because there probably wouldnt be a lot of them on maps.

Their power does not need to be cut in half. What matters more than power is accuaracy.

For dual wielding to work, their power could be the same as in Halo 1, but when you are dual wielding the accuracy is diminished.

That way, you can have powerfull weapons, but inaccurate dual wielding.

There you go, I fixed the problem in the best way possible.
Then it would be virtually insta-kill for all dual wieldable weapons up close.

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

I wouldn't like the idea because Bungie wants to walk that road not taken. It seems the gameplay will be like the boomshields off of Gears of War. Plus, jackal shields are small and only cover part of the bodies of jackals, how would that same shield protect a spartan that is a great deal taller and bigger than a jackal? Really good players would just target the exposed body parts which would eventually make the shield useless.

Maybe they could hold it in a similar fashion to the ancient Greeks' shields. Elbow bent, shield in front. Of course since the shield is small, it would only cover the upper torso (possibly serving to negate the first sniper headshot from an angle).

It wouldn't need to be "dual wieldable," but you could link it in with every weapon. Hold the BR grip with one hand, the shield with the other, and rest the muxxle of the BR in the groove of the shield, thus keeping it steady. Same could be for pistols (in that you take a more hunched over stance, but you wouldnt have to lock a pistol into the groove)

This would add a new reason to crouch. Crouching would allow you to protect most, if not all of your body. And isn't your description on hhow a shield should be held the way all shields are used?

Some games have them so that they are off to the side and then you raise them right in front of you, not allowing you to shoot anymore.

Mine would be something like this, with smaller shields, while standing and crouching (while standing your lower body would be vulnerable), and... with guns, and stuff.

Screenshot Taker

I think the shield would have to decay or something or it would be way to powerful

If it's sweet, why did you pick "no"?

Big Team Battle Multiflag/Slayer on Standoff/Valhalla/Sandtrap/Avalanche = Win

A jackal shield should just give us a x1.5 overshield instead.
