Recently I was looking at the banner at the top of the Reach forum and came up with a theory of Reach's gameplay and how it would play out.
I was looking at the characters and noticed how they all define different catagories.
Power,Speed,All-round,Stealth,Long Range. (from left to right)
Now you start to understand where I am going I have reason to believe that Halo Reach May be class oriented. Reasoning to my thoerem apears below
Power:
~ Appears to be the strongest of the bunch easily wielding a turret in one hand
~Tallest in stature; may cause this Class to be the Slowest of the bunch
~Will be the Damage sponge of the group hard to go down yet hard to master
Gameplay Balancing
~High health levels but Slow
~Heaviest weapons wield-able and can still maintain the normal speed of its class
~Cannot be transported in Light Reconaisance* Vehicles (Worthog, Mongoose)
~This class is The large Spartan group with shields as standard
Speed
~Short in stature appears to be agile, and lean
~Smallest Class of the bunch
~will be easily taken down but will be easy to pick up and learn
Gameplay Balancing
~Low health Levels but fast
~light to medium weapons wield-able with heavy weapons unwield-able whilist unstationary (turret)
~All vehicles easily transport this class
~No shields, uses the Stamina system of the ODST's headshot kills instantly ( From Halo 3:ODST)
All-Round
~Seems to be the medium of the game possibly of MC quality.
~Seems to be holding a AR.
~his/her height indicates that this class will have the qualities of a Halo 3 spartan
Gameplay Balancing
~The "easy to pick up class".
~Light to medium weighted weapons wield-able without any slowing of the class heavy arms such as the turret will slow the spartan as it does in Halo 3
~All vehicles may pick up this Class
~Good ground unit, no specialist weapons.
Stealth
~Apears to be holding a knife which indicates close combat qualities.
~Seems to have a mascular body type yet somehow leaner then the other suggestable Males
~Seems to have scout shoulder pieces; didn't the description of the scout shoulders talk about stealth qualities?
Gameplay Balancing
~Has a device that makes he/she invisible to enemy radar.
~light to medium weapons but specialised to stealth weapons.
~Accessible to all vehicles yet wieghs considerably more than the speed class
~Kills Long range, Speed and Stealth classes instantly with a melee with knife and renders All-round Shields useless until the All-round Class perishes.
~Would have a Stamina based health system headshots kill the class instantly
Long Range
~Apears to have an ODST Style helmet
~Obviously wielding a sniper of some sorts
~ considering the body position if he/she were to stand up it would possibly be about the stealth class in height
Gameplay Balancing
~Enhanced skill with sniper ( has steady aim with little to no recoil )
~wield light to medium weapons
~can only have two weapons on them at all times (one Medium and one light)
~Stamina System applies
~Instant kill with one shot on Speed, Stealth and Long range while two shots for allround (shields then fatality) and three for Power Class (Shields-Resistance-Fatality)
And I am sure for you covenant lovers if my theory was to be true this would be the order for the covies.
