I already HAVE that multiplayer
I already HAVE forge
I already HAVE theater
I already HAVE 21 of those maps

The only new things are a short campaign and a new mp mode and 3 maps, not worth £30

£30 is a ridiculous price to charge for an add-on. Unless this is actually bringing around 20 hours gameplay it shouldnt be the same price as a full game. It should be the same as the GTA IV DLC or DLC for Fallout 3, between £10 and £15

ODST is not DLC. It is a full game.

It is not a full game, a full game would be at least 15 hours gameplay this offers 3-5 it was annouced as a DLC expansion

hahahahahaha

halo 3's campaign isn't even 9 hours long.

show me a new article by bungie that say's it's 3-5 hours long

also, sure it was announced as a dlc expansion but that was 9 month's ago.... alot can change in nine months, it's not an expansion anymore.

this is now like saying, mirrors edge is not a full game. mirrors edge has a campaign and time trial, that's it.

don't complain

It will only be as long as you are slow.

If it wasn't for the amount of my mates who play Halo 3 it wouldn't have been worth £30, the campaign was far too short as with a lot of games today. For example one of my favourite games is Fallout 3. Nearly 30 hours gameplay so far and i'm not even halfway through. The two Knights of the old Republic games were similar

I paid £40 for my Halo 3: LE at release and was completely satisfied, not only with the game itself but with the bonus content included - I've watched the extras DVD about 7/8 times now.

I just ordered ODST from GAME for £24.99 delivered (it's listed at £29.99 but I used 2000 of my reward points for a £5 discount)

A sweet deal.

Thanks for the input, and this thread is not for a debate about if the game is worth it or not.

It is for discussion about these prices.

It was an announced as a standalone expansion, not a DLC one.

Can you show me a new article by bunge saying it's longer than 3-5 hours?

Anyhow. If you already have halo 3, and already bought all the maps, this is pretty crappy value. However for those who haven't it's not bad. If you never bought Halo 3 (which is unlikely on this forum, but elsewhere it may be true) it's actually quite good imo.

Sadly, I fall in the 'I already spent 60 pounds on halo 3 stuff' category.

Can't you see I'm Busy!?

I just saw this about 10 mins ago on Game.co.uk. £29.99 pre-order with Sgt Johnson code.

Roll on payday and I am pre-ordering!

How much play time do you expect to get out of Firefight?

I envisage quite a few hours, enough that along with a medium sized campaign and three new Halo3 MM maps, it would be worthy of being a £40 game

even better value if you pre-order :)

For a major game chain, that's bloody awesome. Looks like the retailers here haven't cottoned onto this 'it's full price' thing yet.

"Cottoned?"

To realise.

You're like, the bee's knees: you have helped me out a LOT in the past and you're a genuinely nice guy, and you deserve all the best for the good you've done me and surely done others
Count Peter, you're one of the only people I respect on here. Not that that means much on a forum, but still.

It seems like we got really lucky with the whole 'undercutting' thing, Asda were the first to do it for under £30, and everyone else didn't really have a choice =)
