I was wondering what it would be like to have some kind of squad command system in Reach. Almost like Star Wars: Republic Commando's system(which I doubt anyone in this forum has played.) You select a marine or possibly other Spartan and tell them to engage, garrison in cover, or go into defensive or offensive positions. Also, if you were in the turret of a Warthog, you could tell the driver to get to a certain spot. Though I wouldn't want this to be too extensive, because it would feel like you were driving the vehicle from the turret. How about vice versa, as well? If you're driving a warthog, you could tell the turret and passenger to target a certain object. I know that if this were going to be incorporated into the game, Bungie's engine would have to get a substantial AI upgrade compared to Halo 3's, but I still think it could be done. Any opinions?

EDIT: Minor spelling mistakes.

I'm right 97% of the time. Who cares about the other 4%?

I love Republic Commando, and I'd love to see some similar gameplay in Reach. We can only hope, though...

That would be cool, but it change the whole aspect of the game. Usually whole games like that are based on squad combat.

It's possible... It would be a fresh change in game play and since there's a full squad of Spartans this time around, why not have squad commands?

It might not change a thing. Maybe that's how Reach was meant to be from the beginning. My point is, you don't know, so you can't say that squad combat would "change the whole aspect of the game."

A system like the one In Rainbow Six 2 would be nice. Hit the D pad in different directions to tell them to do some basic actions (move up, fall back, stay quiet, run and gun etc.). Peace

I was talking about the aspect of other, already out, Halo games. Will you admit that having a squad is just a little different from the usual Halo experience?

Yep that game is and always will be one of my favourite games on the original Xbox. The whole game was just plain fun. This aspect of squad control would be cool especially if Bungie improved it a bit. Oh now that would be worth $60-90 any day.
