Yes, i call it Halo 3 Recon because that's the title they announce it as at E3. I am a true BUNGIE fan, so i'm going to stick by what they called it until (obvious) legal action forced them to change the game's name to ODST
_____
Alright, Johnson has VISR mode even though he doesn't have a Helmet. BUNGIE's response to this was ''it's a game, deal with it, he still has VISR mode''. Meaning, BUNGIE isn't being serious about the game's storyline in ODST.
The story's going to fail for this reason, as I think the singleplayer campaign is taking a LOT of lessons from Modern Warfare (an obvious demand by 'microsoft' that halo must take on modern warfare BEFORE It's sequel gets released in November).
Microsoft realized people didn't like to feel all too powerful, and wanted to feel weak and had to use skill and stealth to get through situations, all obvious factors evident in Halo 3 ODST
And now, Microsoft wants to tackle EB GAMES directly as they do not want them to get any more money from USED GAME Sales, since bungie doesn't get any money from it (BUNGIE HAS stated in the past 'we should never stop getting money for a game'). To do this? They take the most popular human, Sgt. Johnson, and make him unlockable in Firefight. This obviously wasn't bungie's idea, at all.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Microsoft is pulling ALL of the strings on the Halo series from now on. BUNGIE has said ODST will be their last halo game, but now they announce they'll be making 'HALO:REACH' after 'Halo Wars' had HORRIBLE Sales. What does that mean? It means Microsoft realized Halo needed BUNGIE to survive, and now is forcing them, through increased pay wages, to continue supporting the halo series.
Yep. Microsoft is officially milking Halo. I'm getting off of this crazy train before it crashes. Peace.
-Sgt. Johnson is only in Firefight, which is a multiplayer mode that doesn't follow a storyline.
-He is an extra character for Firefight and all the characters are supposed to be the same therefore he is able to use the visor
-Your Modern Warfare claim doesn't make sense. First off, Microsoft wins either way, both Halo and Modern Warfare sell bucket loads of copies for their console. Secondly, ODST mostly resembles an E3 demo of Halo 2 long before Modern Warfare was a series.
-Microsoft doesn't own Bungie anymore, which means that Microsoft is not pulling the strings on the game because Bungie now has more freedom over their games than ever.
-Yes, Microsoft wants to milk the Halo series, but as long as Bungie is making Halo games I wouldn't consider it milking the series. When Bungie stops making Halo games for good and Microsoft is still hiring developers to make more Halo games, then they are milking it.
-Halo Wars sold over a million copies is its first month of release, it wasn't expected to sell like one of the Halo Trilogy titles.
-Finally, don't buy the game.
