ok reading the Forums i have noticed that there are ALOT of posts concerning The Two planets at the end of H3 and the Trailer to Reach...and ALOT of stupidity on how alike they look....IDK if im way late on this (probably) but I'm thinking there is no way on (insert favorite god here) green earth that MC is going back in time...and if it is the case I(as a halo fan from as soon as i could reach my hands around the old xbox dino controller) will quit playing..lol...jk......anyways so NO the planets arent alike
......but what i want to talk about is what is the planet at the end of H3??? My guess is its the Planet that the remaining Spartans jumped into at the end of the 4th book.....i might be wrong but the stories match up unless im reatarded and missed something........In book 4 the Spartans jump into a Forerunner shield world to save themselfs from the hordes of Covenent about to poop down their spines.....and at the end of H3 there's MC orbiting a Forerunner planet....hmmmmm..is it a Kawinkydink????.......IDK please tell me your thoughts BUNGIEites

honestly, i wish people actually listened to stuff like this

reach has weather, landmass, and city-esque lighting

the legendary planet looks like the ass end of the death star with a marathon tramp stamp

Yeah... and a different colored star.

Also, the OP is a little hard to read.

I completely agree. The Halo 3 ending is purely open-ended to future games, books, ect.. This time travel stuff is rediculous.

The shield world was composed of Sentinels and got all messed up in the end of the book. It wouldn't look like a solid planet. Just a huge mass of sentinels.
At least that's how I remember it.

No, Onyx was messed up at the end. All the Spartans were transported to a new sheild world where they're now trapped, and I also have a feeling that's what we saw in the background on Halo 3's Legendary ending.

they were transported to a dyson sphere or a dyson shell rather. it's a sphere built around a sun with the surface on the inside of the sphere, like on the halos.
i think the sun in the book was artificial though. and if i remember correctly the dyson shell was located in a slipspace bubble or something like that.
correct me if i'm wrong.

anyways, my guess is that the planet seen in the ending of halo 3 is a forerunner world like onyx. but noone can say for sure. it's whatever bungie wants it to be.

Tru7h, one time I saw once a thread with a video that the OP claims that Master Chief time travels to Reach.
I can't remember the name of the thread

That's right, they went into the slipspace entrance and ended up in the Dyson Sphere. It was built around an artificial sun and the the spheres radius was one AU in distance. I doubt the planet in the video was Onyx, though. The tail end of the ship that he was in was would have been seen as a threat by the sentinels, and would have been blown up to pieces.
