Subject: Downloadable "Firefight" maps---what would you want?

Golf Wang. Brony.

Now I don't know if it was confirmed if it was impossible, but frankly I don't give a -blam!-. But what if there was such a thing? What maps would you like to see put to this new game mode?

An old Campaign area, multiplayer map, or entirely new area you made up, what would be cool for ODST's Firefight?

I'd be happy to see a recreation of H2's Outskirt's area.
"..there's Jackals in the courtyard!"

That would be terrific, just increase the area of some parts of it, maybe add a level or more stuff in the building (for the spawn room), add some big objects near the crashed pelican, and just polish up on that big lot where all the Covenant spawns out of nowhere.

The place is perfect for Phantom drop-offs, dynamically responding to where you are: above the crashed pelican, in the courtyard, or in that large open space.

I'm sure New Mombassa is expansive enough for Bungie to sneak in some unlockable Firefight levels.

Fighting against an army of Covenant in the far reaches of space in a place called Delta Halo?

"A: It's a -blam!- video game."

Some base with multiple fall-back points, and a big ass field in front of it where the enemies come from. And a helluva lot of weapons in the base.

Sounds like some areas in Halo CE.

It would be nice for Bungie to throw something like that into H3: ODST.

Really, I don't think they should support Firefight with new maps.

What I would like thougn is maps being unlockable by playing camapaign. However, you shouldn't ever have to beat it to play with people who have unlocked the maps. (think Fable 2's dlc).

But after 6 months or so, they should release a key on the marketplace (for free obviously) letting anyone unlock the maps, regardless of campaign.

Same with me. I'd rather actually get a complete Halo game (Reach) unlike what Halo 2 and 3 were.

The bridge-control area on Delta Halo in Halo 2. Where you have to fight a Wraith and a Banshee.

Sounds good, if Firefight is going to include some vehicular action. Also, if the bridge can't be removed, right?

The jet-pack brutes area, after the bridge, on Tsavo Highway in Halo 3. Where you have to wait for the Pelicans to drop off 2 Warthogs, and you have to fight a Wraith.
My second favorite area in Halo 3. That place is -blam!- epic, but I have to say it's too soon. You can set-up some pretty crazy encounters there already; it's a half-assed firefight.

The first part on Halo 1 where you're in the tower-system, and you have to stave off Covenant and protect the Humans until the Pelicans arrive.
Halo CE is ripe with survival areas. Especially "Halo" if you know the Rockslide megabattle.

A Floodgate mission where you have to defend against Flood.
Who'd want to play that, lol?

Why don't you think they were complete? Both games felt like so. Halo 3 felt like they almost had a bit more time than necessary as there's things like theater and forge that are just things....not expected.

The halos are extremely fleshed out really. I could see you saying that with these yearly games that don't change or games that just on't have much content/ lots of glitches, tech problems, but Ijust don't see what your saying with this.

I don't think so eaither, but I support the addition of new areas other than what's unlocked in New Mombassa, like extra hidden levels. I'm sure there is going to be a bunch included anyway.

This isn't a serious thread regarding Bungie's support on the idea, but what places Bungie has created would be fun in Firefight. Halo hasn't had a survival mode, obviously.

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

A minigame where there are 100 of every weapon in a base and the enemies spawn very far away but in immense hordes, and see how long you kan keep them back before you are overwhelmed.

Halo 3. That was complete, really. They finished the story, more than else, you probably didn't appreciate the campaign.

Halo 2. I don't know, I loved Halo 2, and I didn't have Live then.

That answers that XD.

There are enough Flood-types, it wouldn't hurt.

No, it actually wasn't. They left out a full section of the campaign with new enemies and other Forerunner weapons.

while I love the idea of firefight and its going to suck up a whole lot of my time, I would prefer they moved the ODST dev team over to reach after they are 100% done with ODST

For time constraints, or when they figured out it wouldn't work?

It was a complete product.

They are done with ODST, just in debugging. I'm sure they are already wrapping things up, that small team working on ODST.

I'm not asking a serious question, guys.

No it wasn't in my opinion. If it was complete Bungie would stop retracting their statements that they did everything they wanted to with the game. The should be more like Blizzard in this regard. When a game is done, then it's done.

exactly, debugging is part of making the game, plus they still might make small changes to the gameplay from now to release, anyways that doesn't change the fact that I want them to move to reach, even though its about a 50 person team, that's still 50 more people helping make reach which would help the game be finished faster

Please don't taze me brother.

Possible: A converted Highground map.

Impossible but I wish: A smaller Highground map with beach and wall/gate, with the walls being destroyed by damage equivelant to 15 rockets. 6 walls in all+gatehouse w/gate. Gate can be opened and closed at will for weapons/camo/overshields on the outside at moments of reprieval...tests the groups strength to hold out and to over achieve when the walls fall down (Standing behind them and using them for cover, permitted space.)

Explain a bit further, I don't know alot about Blizzard.

So it's not complete until Bungie says it's complete? Whether a game is done in this regard, okay, it's not complete. They left out tons of crap, yet finished the game. That what you're on about?
