I love you too, honey.

And yeah, I've been dealing with a lot of -blam!- lately, so, a few maps for a video game is just "Tough luck."

Yea man, don't worry. Good luc- I mean Tough luck on your life dude.

You're a person that can't be argued with. I call them a "Tough-Luck" person. Have a good one!

stop with the price threads NOW!!!!

is x-men origins wolverine a full $60 game?... yes

well let's see what we have, a campaign... it took me about 7 hours to beat it, oh some bonus where you fight other wolverines and unlock them to play in campaign..... ok,.... big news here.... that's it....... oh and credits, that's not important.

now lets look at ODST

campaign... it will be at least 6 hours long, not to mention he fact that it is open world gameplay. there is also 4 player co-op... wolverine doesn't have that.... hmmm, oh and did i mention there is a whole new frickin gametype that has infinite replay value....?

not to mention 3 new maps for halo 3, that will only be with odst

oh yeah there's this other stuff that's a cool bonus
1. reach beta
2. possible johnson (if pre-ordered)
3. controller (if buying LCE)
4. A WHOLE SECOND DISK THAT IS A BONUS WHICH GIVES YOU ALL OF THE MAPS FROM EVERY DOWNLOAD. ITS LIKE THEIR GIVING YOU HALO 3'S VERSION OF THIS!!!!

A marvelous point! And without the flaming too, a nice touch.

However, X-Men Origins is not of my concern. If I was an Xmen Fan I'd go and have the same discussion that I am having now on their forums.

Also, why did you say it was at least 6 hours? Who told you? Proof plz.

And your "bonus" wasn't called a "bonus". It was called a "part of the price" thing. According to Microsoft all those "bonus" things are part of the price. Which doesn't seem fair at all, now does it? If however, the game IS worth 60$ by itself, then I'm wrong and those bonus things were a bonus.

But step in my shoes for a bit. I don't know who to believe. Should I believe Microsoft (the Publisher) or you (the fan)?? It's just to hard to choose!

ok the length bungie said when they announced odst would be about 5 hours, they recently said the game has grown alot... so i added 1 hour, seems reasonable to me... not a alot more time than the original length, so it's not as long as halo 3 (8 hours by he way) but not shorter than a download.. call it a guestimation.

hmmm the bonus thing is a little tricky, i see it as a bonus, others may not... personally i see odst worth $60 cause it has more content than most $60 games (wolverine, mirrors edge, force unleashed, tomb raider... all of which i bought, by the way) none of these games have campaign and an extra game-mode. (mirrorsedge has a time trial but it's still campaign)

does microsoft say if it's part of the price, or is that just kokatu making stuff up?

also, be careful with both fans, and microsoft. they both can stretch the truth sometimes

Sorry, but if you want to play the new maps, you have to buy ODST.

No mate, you really don't. They will be DLC, as announced at E3, so don't have a go at me. And don't forget, no swearing in the forum. :-(

The reason is some guys who have Xbox LIVE saying that they don't want Disc 2 because they already half of it's content while we don't have set 2 of Mythic Map Pack.
If you guys have no paitence for playing the new maps, just buy ODST and get over it

The universe is probably littered with the one-planet graves of cultures which made the sensible economic decision that there's no good reason to go into space--each discovered, studied, and remembered by the ones who made the irrational decision.

Although I think that the 60 dollars is a little high, I kinda like that it is going to have all the maps. This way I will have them on a disk in case my xbox goes haywire and I won't have to re-download them.

you do realize right? Microsoft has an feature where you can redownload all your content you purchased for free. My 360 was stolen last year, and all I simply had to so was redownload at no charge.

I presume that there will be less loading time and lag (yeah, I know internet connection is a major factor), because there is more space for the maps to be 'backed up'. Whereas in Halo 3, there was campaign, theatre and forge to load, where as that space can be re-filled with the multiplayer maps.
(It's hard to describe in words, but think of it as the more copies there are of a file, the easier it is to find and load something, as it can load both at once.)

7even is Darker

The entire point of ODST is a campaign expansion and the maps tagged on encase you don't have regular halo 3, :/

Suck it JoeSki!!!

I hope everyone knows that they aren't paying $60 because the previously released maps are included. Everyone who lacks pricing knowledge listen close:

You are not paying anything extra because the maps you already downloaded have absolutely no effect on the price.

longhorn10, I respectfully disagree. If you look back at Bungie's previous blogs and such they stated the intention for ODST not to be a full priced game, but to be viewed (and priced) as a Halo 3 expansion. Microsoft, however deemed that there was enough content to price it as a separate game. While Bungie may not be completely innocent here, I doubt they bear the full responsibility for the pricing, and people should be turning their anger instead at Microsoft. Another option, instead of directing angry comments anywhere, is to sit back and think for a minute- Microsoft can't price ODST ASSUMING that you already have downloaded the maps (for up to 2400 points/ $30,) so a package including ODST and the Halo 3 multiplayer disc IS worth $60. Personally, I think a lovely option would be to offer ODST separately from the Halo 3 Multiplayer disc, each for say $30. This would eliminate the need for all this frustration. However, Microsoft is in the business of making money, not making us happy, and if they believe they can make a bunch of gamers buy the majority of Halo 3's DLC twice (which, watch ODST's sales, THEY CAN) they'll do it. And no one has said that Heretic, Longshore, and Citadel will never be on XBL, but the lack of news is -again- a money issue to push ODST sales. Let's not assume anything until we hear it from Bungie- when they do make announcements, they're trustworthy.
