NXE <3 ODST -- A match made in heaven?
What do you all think about effectively utilising the NXE (New Xbox Experience) with Halo 3: ODST? The feature in question is the ability to save a game to your hard drive.
-- Proposal - ODST comes with 2 disks. Single player and firefight are on one, Halo 3's multiplayer is on the other. Would it not be great to have the Halo 3 multiplayer disk in the hard drive but also be able to access ODST's features?
In the very least I think firefight should be usable via the NXE, that's multiplayer and it would have a wealth of advantages such as the use of matchmaking systems to play Firefight (epic)!
-- How? - Users should be able to download the single player/firefight disk to their HDD. Then, when using the Halo 3 multiplayer disk usually blacked out options "Campaign" and "Firefight" should now be selectable from the main menu allowing (near) full access to Halo 3 ODST and increased flexibility. This would get around the issue of having to switch disks regularly.
-- To prevent abuse such as people downloading ODST then selling it seperately I suggest it is tagged with "Not to be sold seperately" something that seems to work with Walker's crisps haha (making it illegal to sell the copy without the Halo 3 ODST multiplayer disk). It should also still be required for the Reach beta, I doubt anybody wants to pass up on that.
Tell me what you think! Please express any concerns and give any suggestions. Thanks for reading.
