Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

Buildings of non-importance in SP (ex. you couldnt blow up the wall to an ONI base that you need to enter through a door guarded by enemies) to keep it similar to older Halo games. But I would like to be able to completely destroy bunkers, Covenant armories, etc.

In MP... not so much. Maybe you could drop some destructible buildings in the map using Forge, but other than that, it just changes the game too much.

It depends on if the destruction is "just for luls" or if it is presented in a balanced and well thought out manner. I certainetly don't want to have it so that my enemy can level my entire base just from firepower, nor do I want to see such a feature limited only to a few crates if it is implemented. I can live without a feature, but if they find a use for it, then by all means, include it.

That's how I feel about it. If they want to include destructible walls they should balance it out based on certain materials, or the number of walls stopping the bullets. I don't want to level a base with a tank and kill everyone inside with cheap artillery. Or shoot through multiple walls like the Farsight in Perfect Dark with what seems like a wall hack.

I think destruction in certain areas of the game, as stated a few posts above with the example of breaking through a wall of the ONI Building, would work really well and definitely add a lot of realism, as well as the possibility of there being more choices for the player.
With the covenant on the other side of the door, do you fight your way through them, or blow down the wall a few rooms away and flank them?
I think it would be a nice addition to have destructible scenery also, not all of it, but places where you can take cover.
For example, you could be hiding behind some sort of barrier or column, and a kamikaze Grunt could run directly at you, destroying your cover and exposing you to the Elites waiting further in the distance.
Overall, I think it would be a great idea. One thing that I've always found lacking in Halo was the destruction. Not "for the luls" but because of the added realism

I just want things to jump up a bit in the battle related way.
Let it be certain within a certain boundary. Let key points stand tall, but have the weak points become exploited (e.g. Doors, windows, anything wooden, etc). Flush out camper locations, or create your own.
But what I'm really saying it to let things get hurt, but leave some impenetrability there.
Just don't go CoD with penetrating bullets, Snipers would just kill without any problem around here.

Ninjabag the tea-pirates!

I don't want to join your group.

They should do it worms style so that trees hover if you blow out the underneath. But seriously if it made it more realistic then it would be cool. Hope if they do then it'll be better than Red Faction Guerrilla. The buildings were a bit crap in that, you could destroy all the supports until only one side of a building had supports left and it still wouldn't fall.

We shouldn't be able to shoot through anything like in Call of Duty. It takes out the whole point of cover and makes no sense. In CoD you can shoot people through 3ft thick concrete, this makes hiding behind that wall pointless and doesn't seem very realistic to me.

PPPPPP--POWER!

Yes. It is about damn time Bungie let us uproot trees and blow holes through sides of buildings so we can enter how we were meant to.

$.50 in store credit.

Yes, but to a certain degree.

I think it would be fantastic if we could place things similar to the black barricades shown in firefight. Also, an option on objects like "Invincible" or "breakable" would be awesome. I would not like tanks leveling bases or anything like that though.

If it was in multiplayer, i would like to see doors of bases that need to be destroyed, or walls that break to make an extra passage.

-Live on the edge but don't fall off

I love the idea, as a matter of fact my friends and i have talked alot about it already and agree it would be amazing if you had a rocket launcher and some one was hiding in one of those little crevices between the rock and the wall BOOM! there goes there hiding spot (and them).the buildings are a lot of the time covi so you could say they have some kind of shield surrounding it.

Also, any one here play worms? the destructible environment makes for some fun and interesting game play if they put this in Halo it would be amazing, in worms at the end of the game theres gaping holes in the ground and bullet holes in walls, etc. in halo maybe theres a couple dead bodies and missing weapons, but thats basically it.

If they added this into halo there should be a certain extent as to how far it could go, so you could spend all game making a hole than hiding there so no one can get you, or tunneling through hills and walls like you can do in worms (this does makes for some pretty interesting game play sometimes though) but making it enough so it looks good and you can tell a battle took place there.

I started Starori games in 2011.

No one has the right to take the life of another.

Destructible Enviroments would be a great idea! Im sure if used right it would add alot more strategy to the game. Busting through a wall with a sword would be awesome.

My biggest hope is that we can at least shoot through walls. I mean we are 500 years in the future, if guns today can shoot through walls, why can't guns in the future shoot through walls too?

If you can say that we're so advanced our guns should shoot through walls think about this - Currently, (as in right now) we're developing technology which can make 1 gram of a solid (silicon alkoxide), and stretch it across a football field, yet it being strong enough to withstand literally tons of pressure being paper thin, and can hold up to 4000x its weight. It's extremely heat resistant (they use it in space suits as insulation), and transparent. It could soon be used in place of windows. It's called aerogel. My point by explaining all of this is: I think that by the 26th century they'll have walls that won't break no matter what you throw at 'em... That is if you're still going on the whole '500 years in the future' thing... I'm still for destructive environments, but shooting through walls makes me sad :/
