Totes found ling-ling's head
Maybe it's a little ridiculous for me, a 19 year old guy, to still be dreaming about video games. But who gives a -blam!-, halo owns. Anyway, I had a VERY detailed dream about Halo:Reach and in some ways I hope to god it ends up like this.
/begin dream/
I'm inside Bungie Studios wandering around for some reason I can't remember at this point, and i sneak off into a room with an early build of halo:reach multiplayer. I start wandering around the menus but keep from backing too far into the main menu for fear of returning to some kind of command prompt. I fire up a multiplayer match on what is basically the level Tsavo Highway made into a multiplayer map for massive battles. The game is both first and third person and you swap between the two by clicking the right thumbstick (just like oblivion.) There isn't anyone else in the match so i just start screwing around and it turns out that multiplayer battles consist of a mix of co-op, wherein you take down universally hostile enemies, and competitive, wherein you pit the AI you are commanding (human or covenant) against the other players. The scoring element operates in points for killing AI controlled forces or extra points for killing the commander of the opposing team.
The graphics looked much like Halo 3, but with anti-aliasing (no joke) and much higher detail models and a much better texturing method (maybe anisotropic filtering and a higher resolution?)
The action was breathtaking and the matches were deep and complicated.
Anyway, thinking outside of the box, I'd like to hear how you guys envision multiplayer for Halo:Reach; or you can add detail to my vague dream.
