THIS IS A BIG GUN!

If you buy Halo 3:ODST, you get Halo 3: ODST plus the Halo 3 multiplayer. Most of the people who buy Halo 3: ODST, already own Halo 3. So why the heck would they want to buy the same multiplayer twice? Just for those 3 extra maps? Are we paying for that disc or is there going to be an option NOT to include that extra, meaningless, disc?

Unfortunately, you don't have the option to exclude that disk.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

Your paying 10 bucks for the three new maps on that disc.

There is not an option to exclude that disc. Who cares? It's a free disc. Halo 3: ODST is a FULL game. It has single player and firefight. A lot of games are $60 and don't even have multiplayer.

Yeah, but Fallout has a ton of content for singleplayer. I've played for over 24 hours and I haven't come close to doing half the quests. ODST campaign will be like 6 hours, but co-op and firefight make up for it.

the disk has new Mythic maps like Longshore. I personally like the idea that I don't have to buy more MS points

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

Just trade in Halo 3 for it and get a discount on ODST.

How much is ODST?

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

Sadly, yes. Were paying for the extra disk, because of what happened with Halo Wars. Many people bought the game, took the code, and simply returned the game later on. Most stores don't check that stuff, they just make sure the disk and manual are still in the case and intact (*cough* Walmart *cough*)

USD $60. Halo 3 is USD $40. So I'm guessing that a good USD $20 of the game is due to the extra disk.

If I was in a room with justin Bieber, Bin Laden, Hitler and a gun with two bullets I would Shoot Bieber twice.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

yes we are paying for what we already have in halo 3(other then the mythic maps pt2)we are also buying recon and the reach beta invite but on the happier side we get a free copy of rickroll...........

/sarcasm

What you could do is just sell the 2nd disk to a friend who doesn't have halo 3, and use the money to pay for the next mythic map DLC, if there is one..... But thats what im gona try

  • 06.20.2009 4:15 PM PDT

Yes, we are. It is one of the many extensive parts that added to them changing the price.

They went all out with the new campaign. Originally, it was meant to be a short expansion to the Halo 3 experience (likely with only one disc) but has since become a massive experience for any Halo fan. The fact that you don't have to store the extra Halo 3 maps on your hard drive is a massive plus, as well. It means no re-downloading maps when on a friend's 360 that doesn't have them.

Have you really even considered what you're paying for? This is definitely worth the price.

Besides, it's a standard price for new, blockbuster games. Quit whining.
