If they don't respawn until the next round that would kind of suck.
Also does anyone know if there is an option to turn on/off vehicle respawn in multiplayer?

If I remember correctly, in the E3 video the vehicles respawned immediately after they are destroyed. Not sure if this going to be the same for the Final release, but I sure hope so.

i think, there should be something of a umm.... 1 minute wait, maybe 30 seconds, but you dont want vehicles respawning before you do, if you die when a vehicle blows!

You should be a able to control how long it takes, like with your own spawning in multiplayer in Halo.

It was about 3-4 seconds after the vehicle was destroyed before it respawned. And from the looks of 2004 e3 you had to be looking away from the respawn site for it to respawn. just like weapons really.

I also heard from people who played at E3 that destroyed vehicles they were using for cover would vanish without warning. I understand the processing reasons behind having the vehicles disappear, but I hope there's a way to have the destroyed vehicles stay the whole time, it'd be awesome to have that cover from the turmoil

Without a reasonable respawn time (30-60 seconds?), there would be little or no significance in destroying an enemy vehicle, excluding the subsequent kill. I assume there will be a respawn time, but as far as specifics, my guess is as good as the next. Simply allowing a destroyed vehicle to instantly respawn would put very little value in vehicles and their preservation - Long story short, a player/team should be penalized for the loss of a vehicle; not rewarded with an instant, fresh-out-of-the-factory one.

Dobber83 certainly brings up a good point. There's undoubtedly validity on both sides of the argument. Vanishing cover is never a good thing and overly-polluted, cramped maps aren't any better. My, what a tangled web we weave.

Edit: I overlooked the 83 in Dobber's name...

i think the secret to winning Single Flag will be to contole the vehicles while on defence instead of blowing them up board them and stash them in in a seclued spot so they dont respawn , thus takeing their use of vehicles away

veicle should varry in respawn time like banshee=3 min worthog=1 min to even out the loss i don't like the idea of loseing my cover so i think the veicle should glow for a few seconds then explode and there be nothing left i think it would work

If any of you play Halo PC, you can just set the amount of seconds you would like before the vehicle respawns. And (in Halo PC) you do not need to be looking away for the vehicle to respawn. Respawning vehicles is actually nice...it increases the chance of finding a ride at your base when you need one. It is frustrating though when a vehicle you are running towards respawns, or a vehicle you were hiding behind for cover disappears.
