price rise? Yes, price rise. When Halo 3:Recon was announced Bungie stated that they saw the game as an expansion and would release it for less then the standard $60US but then after Bungie unveiled more features it went up to $60US in pricing.
How does that not make perfect sense seriously?
Expansion was not going to cost a lot.
Yet it wasn't an expansion anymore so why would they charge that low price for something that isn't an expansion.
I think the problem is a lot of folks feel like the "bonuses" are kind of bogus. It is like they are selling you a new smaller thing, bundled with a bigger thing you already own, and then telling you they are doing you a favor by raising the price, when all you want is the smaller thing for a fair price. Most of Bungie customers don't need another -blam!- disk with multiplayer on it.
Unless of course the situation is that disk was added after MS forced a price change, as a way to try to make the hit softer on their fans. If that is the case, then good on Bungie for trying.
