I'm curious how Bungie is going to deal with the weapons that would be used during Reach, specifically if they are going to switch the primary Marine rifle back to the Ma5B AR from Halo CE instead of the Ma5C AR from Halo 3. Should be interesting...maybe they'll give us an Ma5B that actually works like an accurate AR???

Does it make a difference?
I doubt people care so much about a little code, unless there is a real difference between them.

"Bungie is so stupid, they made a Ma5C when it should be Ma5B!!"

it makes a difference in terms of gameplay. The whole reason they ditched the original AR was because they didn't like the balance issues it created with the overpowered pistol. And I don't really care if you use a gun that shoots chickens...but a lot of people do care about Halo canon and story. I've never read a Halo book (because frankly, the writing is garbage not worthy of a Dark Knight comic) but the people who do read them care. A LOT. About this sort of thing.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

By Halo CE I hope you mean Custom Edition which would mean we can fly Longsword and Shortsword fighters and just nuke the covenant.

Also we would get to turn on our "trainers" and get insta-kill..... <**> Make the clam happy bungie.........

They didn't "switch" the AR's in the games. They simply improved the old one and told you it's a new one. How can you figure that out?

well then why would we be using the "new" one if this game takes place when the old one was in service?

But you have to remember there weapons were only on the pillar of autum so its possible that there could have been new weapons but the pillar wasnt out fitted in time before the attack

It was great, the Halo 1 AR. What it lacked in Power was made up for by it's accuracy and large clip/magazine. I remember the good ol' days getting a headshot with an AR. Hopefully it'll be back.
