this is a realy important thread if bungie sees this so:

I WANT AN ASSAULT RIFLE THAT ACTULLY IS USEFULL OR MAKE THE BATTLE RIFLE THE DEFAULT SPAWNING WEAPON PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

im so sick of how many shots it takes to actully kill someone with an assasult rifle lol. 75% of the time when im not playing MLG im stuck with an Assault Rifle the entire game. I think that the Halo 3 "ultimate spawning weapon" is a joke lol. You cant even hit anybody past 2 feet away and killing somebody a range or without meleeing is virtully impossible. i would really like to see the MA5K with a scope and similiar range to the Battle Rifle except for fully automatic of coarse. i also think it should take 1/4 of the current amount of bullets that it takes to kill someone with full sheilds in halo 3.


Its useful if you know how to use it.......

But anyway once again MLG Cheewawa your ideas are brilliant. I agree with everything but the spartan laser part

Having to lead the gauss rifle would make no sense. I remember reading in one of the halo books that the shell was fired at 10000 m/s. Way overpowered unless there would be a charge time

Im also thinking of the gauss rifle from fallout 3.

the FlaK gun wouldnt really work because the main purpose of the warthog turret is to kill from medium to far range. if you got close you'd be vulnerable to grenades and whatnot. 1 other thing i dont like is that you want us to give our BR's away for pistols?? theres no such thing as a halo without BR. but other than that i agree.

It would be like the gauss shot from the turret. Slow, you'd need to lead with it.

A very fine list, i agree with all points, except maybe the spartan laser thing, but that is only because I am a fan of it. Maybe they should just remove the auto tracking thing that seems to somehow magically turn on when firing at a vehicle, this way the weapon is still there, but takes a little more finesse to get right.

I especially agree with the MA5K.

Also, as i recall, the spartans were actually quite stealthy before they recieved sheilded armor. Their main weapon was discretion, so maybe being able to actively take on or off silencers would be good. They do this many times throughout the books.

get rid of the BR?! your crazy! if you took out the splaser it would make warthogs invincible! the missile pod idea was cool but it would be to hard to add to a 3D game.

if you added another sniper rifle that could kill in one shot but was like the halo 1 sniper in that you had to aim infront of a player that would be nice, just keep the old sniper AND MY BR!

What's wrong with removing the BR?

if you took out the splaser it would make warthogs invincible! Not if you replaced it with a Gauss cannon that had the same power, but you had to lead your shots with it... because now, Warthogs are worthless if your team doesn't have the laser. No matter who is holding it... since it's way too simple to use. Point and click.

I don't see what difference it makes to keep the BR or swap it for a Halo 1 pistol, they are one in the same.

Flak gun, maybe. It would be kinda stupid to have a flak gun, then a missile pod. The missile pod can lock on, while a flak gun just shoots fragmenting rounds, they aren't like "giant shotguns."

The one idea I do like though, is the MA5K. I recently played on a hardmodded original Xbox, and some of the Halo 2 maps that were modded onto the chip had the MA5K, and it was pretty sweet. I however feel that it should replace the AR more so than the BR, because it is more like that AR than the BR.

No one knows for sure whether or not Brutes were at Reach, because all it says in the books are "it was blue with shields" etc, it gave very vague descriptions. I would imagine there were though since the fleet that attacked Reach was big.

They may have been present at Reach, just not encountered by Fred and co. (since S-259 takes the focal point of the trailer, I believe he will be the main character, and since S-259 wasn't with Fred in the novels, we can have any type of enemies Bungie wants to include).

and OP, What do you think about vehicles in Reach? I would like to see some ideas for vehicle adjustments from you.Hmm... maybe I'll do one of these threads today.

That would be wierd... Gauss rifles are build to bring small slugs to near-lightspeed velocity. If you'd have to lead, the slug would simply be too slow to do any damage.
Isn't the rocket launcher already doing the same thing?

Bungie knows what the flaws to their Multiplayer are...I'm sure they will improve it just fine. Now get some fresh air kiddlings. haha. But I do like your Spiker Idea...I mean your shooting spikes! It should still be automatic though.

For the brute weapons the brutes weren't in Reach because Reach is even before halo 1. Plus the fuel rod gun can't be battery operated due to it firing fuel rods. And i think it'd be cool if they made the missle pod turret in multiplayer or atleast forge so you could atleast use it for movies, etc. Everything else i agree completely with

There is one thing here I dont like - the Mauler. I mean, AUTOMATIC? Really? At close range it would be free 2 second long exterminations.

Apart from that, some good ideas.

I was thinking weapon attachments would be a great addition to Halo. You would press right on the d-pad to add the attachment and again to take it away. The B.R. would be single shot, semi automatic, have pretty good power, and have quick rate of fire. And its attachment would make it 3 shot burst, give it the scope, and increase its range. For the A.R. maybe its attachment would give it a grenade launcher, and they would still bounce.

It would still take 2 shots to kill at close range, and if you melee instead of shooting twice, it's no more effective than it is now.

EDIT - Other thing I didnt like was the laser. I mean, how can you not love it?Because it's too easy to use...
