Subject: ODST Final Boss

Like how there was Tartarus at the end of Halo 2, if there was a final boss for ODST what should it be?

  • 06.21.2009 5:51 PM PDT

Woop woop.

Dare transforming to Megatron. Now That would be epic.

I'd rather have a large scale encounter than have them try another boss battle. I think having to take on a fully loaded Scarab as an ODST would be a perfectly fun way to end things.

  • 06.21.2009 5:53 PM PDT

How about a fellow teammate ODST gone rogue?

  • 06.21.2009 5:54 PM PDT

I was in 5th grade. I popped in the Halo CE disc into the massive, clunky first generation Microsoft Xbox, and wrapped my small hands around the controller that was almost too big for me. Little did I know what I was getting into.

10+ years later, I still look up to my childhood hero, Master Chief, while everyone talks about He Man and Spongebob haha

Instead of one powerful enemy, I would prefer a siege situation against tons of covenant, like the most epic battle in Halo history, aside from reach. =D

And no, this seige wouldn't be the same as firefight because there wouldn't be skulls turned on.

A Scarab
you best be able to dodge rookie, cuz there aint no way your gonna survive a scarab blast

  • 06.21.2009 5:56 PM PDT

Typing in random letters = somewhat coherent username!

4 man assault against a Covenant ship, but then Flood show up and infect everyone. Has to fight off flood.

  • 06.21.2009 5:58 PM PDT

It shud be da profit of trufe cos u cud kill him and thn it wud chnge halo 3 so da mastur cheef dosnt fite him. tht wud be 1337!

....Hey, I'm just saying it before some idiot.

  • 06.21.2009 5:58 PM PDT

having a fellow ODST go rouge and end up being the final boss of the game seems WAYtoo residant evil to me.
Part of the reason that halo 1-3 were great games was because there was one major plot, or almost no plot....
great games include almost no plot or script except "your the onnly one left. survive.", or, "hey go save humanity from the clutches of some new evil villain.".

DOOM was an insanely great game, no matter who youare.
it was a great game because your one guy killing off hell.

dont ruin halo like DOOM did in doom 3 when one of their characters 'turned to the dark side'.

i agree w/ other formers about the 'epic battle against invincible cercumstances'...
but... then again... any classic boss battle close to one you guys have done previously would also be cool....... just make it a lil harder.................... =+)

I hope there isn't flood in this. I don't think they're fun to fight. They haven't been fun since Halo CE when you got ridiculously swarmed on the Library. Plus it will be even more irritating without shields.

I'd say taking down a covie ship would be awesome.

  • 06.21.2009 6:02 PM PDT

It's a legitimate strategy...

I be trippin'.

Most epic ending ever...

With the New Mombasa district overwhelmed, you have no choice but to evacuate. You then hop onto the sideseat of a hornet and then take off. However, a Phantom dropship has spotted you and obliterates the Hornet in seconds, you do a BA frontflip roll off the Hornet, and land on the Phantom directly below you. While holding on for dear life, a top hatch opens and out crawls a Brute Chieftan. You have lost all your weapons, and you get into a fist-fight. Somehow, you use his own strength against him and disarm him. You then beat his ass with a gravity hammer. You go down the hatch covered in Brute blood and kill the pilots with your newly acquired toy. You finally get the chance to drive a dropship and take it up to the mothership. You board for the final level, where stealth is absolutely critical. You make it to the bridge, and almost kill the Prophet of Truth, but you are captured and executed via brute shot blade.

The player then cries tears of sadness for their hero.

I like some parts of that, but not all.

The whole fight on top of a phantom thing sounds cool, but pretty unrealistic.

They should have the rookie surrounded by covenent when all ov the sudden some of the people from the city start sniping them. . . but then more covenent renforcements arrive and kill the people so then the Lone ODST has to infltrate one of the covenent mother ships and rig it to explode and get out but once hes out a reble shoots him and he dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

seh looks like a alen anyway

Here is how mine would go...

After the whole squad is reunited, they meet up with the rest of the ODST's and some Marines. They then try to take over a large covenant held area. Say, the Hotel Zanzibar area from H2 (It was re-taken after the Slipspace incident). There is fighting all over, Marines engaging Brutes and Warthogs full or ODST's making attack runs. It would be huge and epic. Meanwhile, your squad has to get into the heart of the enemy and plant a beacon that will trigger a Archer missile barrage from a nearby UNSC frigate. Stealth is essential here as Capt. Dare has you sneak into Hotel Zanzibar and plant the beacon. You then get Evacuated via a Pelican and watch the fireworks as the game fades to Credits.

Stuffz....

a giant version of ur mom should be epic enough

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"

you have to escape out of New Mombasa before it explodes.
