It's not Hip-Hop, its Electro.... prick.

I was wondering if some of the features of new Mombasa seen in Halo 2 will be seen in Halo 3 ODST. More specifically the hotel called Hotel Zanzibar, it had a blue sign for it and you pass through it just before you get the warthog. I just think it would be cool to pass by it knowing that the chief was there just hours earlier. Do you think there will be any settings from halo 2's Mombasa in Halo 3 ODST?

War never decides who is right; only who is left.

I don't think there will be the same places from Halo 2 in ODST, but that would be cool.

And a dead grunt beside the wall.

Haha yeah over in a really dark corner where you can only see it with the VISR on. Thats pretty good. And I like the dead grunt idea. The grunt would be like especially dead like with his arm sitting next to him or a hole straight through his head from the chief's sniper. Haha

Were it so easy.

It could have been destroyed by the slipspace rupture.

Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

I'd actually find it funny if Bungie let you explore Hotel Zanzibar.

There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

Imagine if the booking system was controlled automatically. You walk in and a screen flickers to life and starts trying to sell you a room :P

Hotel Zanzibar should definately be in ODST, the hotel was in the same city that the ODSTs drop into so we will hopefully see it. Maybe the supernintendant will actually mark the hotel on the map.

It probably wouldn't look the same, what with the slipspace jump blowing everything up and all.

Hotel Zanzibar was in... Zanzibar, or in Old Mombasa.

We're in New Mombasa... clearly. Anyone see any of those thatched roofs and beige clay walls?

I thought so.

Hotel Zanzibar served only as a building for MC to walk through in Halo 2... no continuation of it because it wasn't special in any way.

My troll sense is tingling.

Scarab, anyone?

I would probably be destroyed, the only thing that would catch a Fan's eye is the sign falling into the ground. Even when playing as the Chief the building was almost destroy.

What's wrong with you people? Do none of you follow the story? Hotel Zanzibar was in OLD Mombasa. In ODST, you land in NEW Mombasa. Got it?

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

I see where you're getting at, but Hotel Zanzibar -as some already have posted- is located in Old Mombasa.
I really hope that one will be able to revisit some parts of the Halo 2 level. Maybe the tunnel or the bridge. A sigh or something, across the canal, some kind of commercial for the hotel, that would be kind of funny too.

EDIT: But Id settle for a delusional marine who claims that he is MCs best friend.
