I have an idea to spice things up a little in a territories-like gametype. Instead of spawning out of no where and being spawn-killed repeatedly, a Pelican could drop you and your team off near your base, making it seem more realistic. Also your team's dropships could do the weapons(by drop pod) and vehicle spawning. In a dropship, you are not allowed to use the turret(s), however, you could make the AI get off of it and rip it off as you jump out.

It could be set up in a campaign setting, one team attacking while the other team defends the same territory/base/camp(duh). As soon as the defending team is eliminated and the territory is captured, the attacking team now controls and is droped off at the base. After the defenders get eliminated, if the attackers do not take over the communications part of the base within thirty seconds, a dropship comes to drop off the defenders, attempting to recover the base, if they fail(get eliminated), a dropship comes to drop weapons and/or vehicles for the attackers to capture the next base. As that happens, another dropship dispatches the defenders off at the next base. If the attackers get eliminated, a dropship drops them off from another position with some weapons and/or small vehicles. I think three to five bases would do.

that is one of the best ideas in the REACH forum but what if one of the team mates could drive the pelican another ideea that is good is about the campaign style format you could have a type in the forge that you could have Covenent arms in your game

Nah, that would be similar to spawn killing, and alot of people would get very annoyed with that. However, if this idea was to be put into Reach I'd suggest having the Phantom/Pelican having no attack capabilities whatsoever.

It sounds cool, but it totally blows your positioning. I mean i like the idea, really, but i think it's impractical at some points. Unless like you said, it was integrated into gameplay.

i have heard alot of great suggestions reagarding improvments, tweaks,dlc, armor etc. But i am going to put forward a multiplayer level that will go down in history if excecuted properly.
OK imagine two space stations or orbital installations not too far apart from each other they look huge from the outside but only a pheasible amount of space is actually playable inside we are able to move to the outside of the station via airlock and run around on deck but with obvious gravitational implications.

so we have our two main bases in space with the ablitity to go outside on deck and jump around quite high Gr8 what now you ask??

well i was impressed with the elephant on sandtrap and thought Hey why not allow one person to be able to pilot a space ship while other team members mount the guns then use this to travel to the other space station and board it

so we have two "space bases" and two main ships to travel accross the map deal damage and drop off troops with the addition of other vehicles banshees hornets maybe phantoms and pelicans as well as troops on the outside of the station laying down fire with lasers or plasma weapons. (because we all know convensional firearms don't work in space)
capture the flag would be imense assault could see the biggest plasma explosion ever witnessed (because we all want a plasma bomb this time round right?....right??)

i could tell you specifically all the things that could go into this level but this isnt my game
and i dont know who is going to read this (infinity ward spies be gone!!) but interactivity is important give us a switch that will enable shields on a phantom/pelican but reduce movement give us a coffee machine that does absolutly nothing but show a cool animation lol ok u get the idea.

But with this main template for a level ideas just naturally begin to flow "what if the vehicles could use a type of equipment that disables missile lock on" what if we utilised drop pods" why does my br only work on the inside of the ship?" This could be the God map of halo reach. Bungie please read this if it even vaguely raises an eyebrow message me i have tons of ideas that i want to share with people who actually make gr8 games my GT is incurab1e

My level Design explained...

i didnt want to go into too much detail about this concept becausei dont represent the opinions of the masses and i would like other people to give their ideas on how this level could be expanded upon. Yes battlefield 2142's titan mode is similar and i would have liked to play it but this can be much much better, the haloverse is vast possibilities are endless battlefield is limited by its own setting

If its 24 man games then it could be like 4 guys are picked as spartans and the other 20 guys are elites. pelican drops off the 4 spartans and they have to fight their way thro the 20 elites to a specified objective. Elites have less armor but after 10 or 15 of them die it triggers a timer and once said timer is up the dead elites are brought back to the game via phantom... that would be great! lol

Which is why it's a good reason to have many trees and/or structures blocking the way.
