Poll: Would you use a Combat Knife (human alternative to a sword) in Reach? [closed]

One of the very few things we have as far as info is the title picture released along with the announcement. The picture is very ambiguous, but i think that it's safe to assume that these are the SPARTANs that assisted in the Battle of Reach.
There are many notable differences between said SPARTANs and any we have encountered before (well, there's only one we've encountered in the games really), including, but not limited to; armor (presumed to be Mark IV), size, possible gender, and certain weapons (notably the large gun in the hand of the very large SPARTAN on the far left and what appears to be a knife in the hand of the second SPARTAN from the right).
As I have not read The Fall of Reach and have only viewed synopses, I am not 100% familiar with any of these characters, and so any definite light that could be shed on that would be appreciated.
Also, is it possible that Bungie would incorporate a knife into Reach's gameplay? It would be canonical (Frederick-104 is noted as very skilled with combat knives), and I would very much like to see this included in Reach, possibly as a less effective human alternative to a Covenant energy sword. I would think a SPARTAN could easily take down a non-shielded opponent with this weapon, and it never runs out of charge, unlike an energy sword.
