There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

"I would have been your daddy, but the dog beat me over the fence."
*Sigh*...
Why do people constantly forget two very important ponts about Halo Wars?
One. It was crap because it was made by Ensamble. How does the word 'Ensamble' look or sound anything like the word 'Bungie'?
Two, while the gameplay was poor, the story of Halo Wars was actually pretty impressive and one of the few things that made Halo Wars playable.
Please remember that it wasn;t the setting that caused Halo Wars to fail, it was the gameplay. Bungie won't decide not to make a prequel because Halo Wars failed, they'll just make sure they never let any one else make use of their franchise.
And the point about the book? Not many people have read the book, so this could be a good way of telling the story to those who havn;t or simply couldn't be bothered. Plus, the books are not completely cannon: While Bungie accepts the events in the books, in the end, they have full control over the story, and if they want to change something, add something or completely remove something, they can.
And for the final time, the planets are not the bloody same! Ever get the hint from the different coloured suns, each on a different side? Or the fact that the symbols on the Forerunner planet in Halo 3 are different from the symbols on the planet in Halo: Reach?
And if that doesn't convince your feeble little mind, let me tell you this: After the Fall of Reach, the planet never became re-colonised. Some that survived stayed, but the cities never quite came back online. They would be in a similar state as Mombassa and would mostly remain so.
Now, the lights on Reach seen in the trailer are caused by the cities. Once the cities where detroyed, the only light created was from the fire, which would not have formed neat little patterns as seen in the Halo 3 planet. And even if they did, do you really think they would continue to burn in the same places in the same patter for that long? Think realistically!
Don't say 'I rest my case', unless you've made sure your argument was water-tight and believable, it makes you sound like an idiot otherwise.
Idiot.
