Given that the Elites are once again the primary enemy in Halo Reach, does that mean that the much loved Spectre will return to both Campaign and Matchmaking?
For those of you who don't know, the Spectre was taken out of Halo 3 because Bungie decided that it would seem odd for Brutes to be driving an elite's vehicle, so they created a prowler to replace the spectre. The prowler was much more large, the driver much more exposed, it is much easier to splatter with it, but it didn't have a boost like the spectre.
My question is this: Should both vehicles exist in Halo Reach matchmaking? If so, should one of them be modified to make it more unique? I always found it odd that a brute vehicle would fire plasma, perhaps to make it have a different role from the Spectre, it could fire like the chopper, but much much slower, the rounds move slower, but it is much more destructive. It would be like the gauss hog, but actually balanced, since infantry would be able to see the rounds and have a chance at dodging it, wheras slow moving armored vehicles like the tanks would not be able to, thus making it so that the warthog isn't obsolete.
