should pelicans and/or phantom dropships be introduced to Halo Reach? admitidly, it might cause some balancing issues, and need large maps, but these problems could be resolved, and i think it would be pretty cool.

large maps could be made possible with more man-cannons and teleports, so it wouldn't be too unfair on infantry. there could also be plenty of weapons and vehicles with the firepower to bring them down, and also perhaps a small tunnel system between cover.

you could also have obvious large weak points, such as weapon pods or engine intakes, so downing a dropship wouldn't be too difficult. also, the dropships would provide new tactical options, and besides, i'd love to get a splatter spree in one.

your thoughts?

a later thought: how about having two types; one a more mobile gunship to take down tanks etc, and another to act as a slower airborne elephant, with spawn points and flag capture sites on board? it would need bigger maps, but it is a workable idea.

i think that pelicans and or dropships should definitely be in campaign in a few missions.
In Multiplayer, that would be a huge challenge for Bungie, but i can see them pulling it off on a map maybe.

So long as the cap on team sizes remains 8? Heck no. You don't need a vehicle that can carry every single one of your team mates. Too difficult to balance, pretty uneeded.

Well that would be awesome if they did do that but it would take time not only that other ppl would want to fly it more less then ride it.

Only if Reach ends up being Battlefield 5: Halo Combat. Otherwise they should probably give us a Pelican mission in campaign.

i always thought flying the pelican in halo would be pretty damn cool. Plus I was hoping halo maps would be a lot funner with vehicle maps being much larger. Its pretty easy to kill a warthog on vallhalla with 16 players. But imagine a map 6 times bigger, six times funner. Oh well back to the main issue, maybe the pelican can be a new way of spawning in multiplayer? instead of randomly materializing next to a teammate their could be a pelican that randomly drops you off invisible to the other team (in order for no easy spawn killing)

I hope Bungie really considers some of the ideas up on these forums, because they all would make the gameplay so much more unique, and fun.
