I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

1. Keep dual wielding. The SMG would be useless otherwise (unless we got the ODST version).
The SMG allready is useless, why use an SMG when you can use an Assault Rifle with is overall the more useful weapon out of the two.

3. ARE YOU NUTS? Removing this would make the sword into a double-beatdown machine. The clash was put in to make sword fights more interesting, and I think Bungie was successful in trying to do that.Not it doesn't, it makes sword fights more annoying rather than suspenseful.

Name any other shooter with half-decent sword mechanics.Halo 2. ;)

5. The rocket launcher is already a stupidly powerful weapon. It is still possible to get triple kills with one shot.It's still less useful than the Halo 1 and Halo 2 Rocket Launchers.

7. The H2 tank was really hard to beat. The H3 tank requires two people to operate the same way. Fix the issues with the main cannon and the tank is fine.The Halo 2 tank was slow and in the context of Halo 3's weapon balance it was not really overpowered, however what made it such a beast was Halo 2's weapon balance.

8. I disagree, sort of. Jumping off of construct is the only way to get down (other than the one ramp and the support beams), and tactical jumps like these create escape routes that cause unexpected situations. Jumping out of a hornet/banshee from the top of the map, however, should cause some damage.Construct overall is just a badly designed map, the 2nd (middle) floor really doesn't serve any purpose from a gameplay perspective. Construct should have just been two floors with no large middle section.

1. Why would you remove the SMG? Why? It's not just the SMG though. The plasma rifle, spiker, and pistol would also suck. Unless you bring back our old friend, the halo 1 pistol.
Well if you remove dual wielding, you just make all other weapons more powefrul (ex. PR and PP in Halo 1 were single wield, but they were better than the AR.. or compare the H2 Needler to the one in H1 or H3)

Id say remove the SMG because the AR would serve its function with no dual wielding. Spiker could become single-shot and midrange, like the one in Halo LANDFALL (we could nail Grunts to walls!), and the Pistol could be made similar to the one in Halo 1 and Halo 3: ODST (instead of 3SK like in H1, maybe 5SK)

Seeing lots of hate towards the SMG. I prefer the SMG over the AR, even when single-wielded.

so you want the fourth game to be almost exactly the same as the first 3 halo games bungie has made? this is a different game from a different part of the halo universe and should have a different style of multiplayer. the thing i would like is for them to have the multiplayer more customizable than halo 3 and for bungie to make like a back door to the game so they can edit everything easily for balance and glitches and everything

1. I wouldnt remove it but i would fix it to make it usable. For like close combat situations. Whats the draw back? As for Chewies's idea about making the Spiker a 1H weapon, i like.

2. I dont know. If its too long people whine if its too short, people whine. Personally i like it the way it is. Think of it as the Beam Rifle and the Sniper Rifle. Two different weapons that have the same purpose. Also, if you miss the kill with the shotgun you wont be able to shoot twice because the sword will murder you.

3. Im a fan of the sword clash. No sword clash = if two people have the sword and one of them is the host, he will always win.

4. Im not a fan of the Stun effect either but i think they made it so that you couldn't board whoever boarded you.

6. YES... the H3 mine is useless.

7. YES

8. IDK. Maybe make it minimal. At most, make it that you can only lose like half of your shields. Jumping around is one of the aspects that makes the game fun. You can go wherever you want and not have to worry about: "Should i stay and face the guy with the rockets head on, or should i just jump to certain death?"

1. I don't think spikers or brute shots or maulers will be in this game(unless if reach was invaded by brutes) and number 2.. dual wielding is pretty awesome when you have combos like Plasma Rifle and SMG or Pistol + PRifle. PP+ SMG.... it does work, don't know how to use the full extent....

How about eliminate dual wielding and just make better weapons? all the dual wieldable weapons aren't too good anyways.

Good ideas. I hope Bungie looks at this forum to read ideas, but then again, the game may be close to done by now.
