In Halo 3, there are 6 different button configurations to choose from, along with 4 ways to move and look around using the sticks. The most common button configuration is of course the default setting which is pretty easy to use and gives beginning players a smooth transition into the game. It's my understanding that Bumper Jumper is another widely used configuration. I myself use Bumper Jumper and have found success with it. It took some time to make the switch but I like how it works. With Bumper Jumper, players can perform all the basic combat maneuvers without moving their fingers to far, allowing for quicker reaction time. When using Bumper Jumper, players can jump, shoot, throw grenades, melee, walk, and look around all at nearly the same time. I think that if all new-coming Halo players started off using Bumper Jumper, they would have more success in the long run. Of course, I think that Bungie should include the old default setting in the new game.
Which button configuration do you think should be the default setting in Halo: Reach?
