In Halo 3, there are 6 different button configurations to choose from, along with 4 ways to move and look around using the sticks. The most common button configuration is of course the default setting which is pretty easy to use and gives beginning players a smooth transition into the game. It's my understanding that Bumper Jumper is another widely used configuration. I myself use Bumper Jumper and have found success with it. It took some time to make the switch but I like how it works. With Bumper Jumper, players can perform all the basic combat maneuvers without moving their fingers to far, allowing for quicker reaction time. When using Bumper Jumper, players can jump, shoot, throw grenades, melee, walk, and look around all at nearly the same time. I think that if all new-coming Halo players started off using Bumper Jumper, they would have more success in the long run. Of course, I think that Bungie should include the old default setting in the new game.

Which button configuration do you think should be the default setting in Halo: Reach?

Please discuss!

$.50 in store credit.

How about we keep default as default and Bumper Jumper as Bumper Jumper.

Lets find out gameplay functions before discussing control schemes.

Although I'm hoping its is like Halo CE because dual wielding and equipment are removed.

I don't care, I just want to be able to choose a variant that mimics Halo 1 and 2's controls (equipment on the D-Pad, in case you're wondering).

Back.. and to the left.
Back.. and to the left.

I think it should be the Halo 3 Default, but if Bumper Jumper is not included in the game i just might fall to my knees and cry.

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

I want custom controller layouts.

Keep it the way it is but allow customizable button mapping.

I should be able decide how I want my button layout to be.

I want custom controller layouts.

I'm doubting that this will happen, just doesn't sound Bungie like
