Subject: Awesome New Idea: Being able to add enemy and friendly AI to forge

I am flatterd that you botherd to look at my signature.

hmm what if you could place AI and could set a track for them to follow or place a rally point..so basicly you could make a forgeable firefight.

or even set tracks for AI to play objetives.. make it so the player can give the AI certant responces..

like if the enemy has a tank the AI will head for the closest anti armor weapon.

or even have it so the AI copys your responces to threats so you can teach them to fight like you..

you could even make some dance if you liked....lol

Nobody ever said anything about Forge even being in Reach.

Go into the news archive, read any interview with a Bungie Employee about forge, in every one they say that one of their favorite things to do is sit back and watch the community's creativity become unleashed, and knowing that they allowed that.

Forge in Halo 3 was almost cut due to time, but was kept in, and look what it has become.

Due to the popularity of it, do you seriously thing they wouldn't have Forge in Reach? It will be bigger, better, and allow us to do things we never thought of. I mean, think about it, look at the original maps and what their forging capabillities were. They kinda intended it so that you could place weapons, vehicles, and spawns where you want, they adapted it later for maps like Foundry and Sandbox for people to actually create their own maps from the ground up, but that adaption wasn't perfect. They learned a lot, and Forge in Reach will be amazing.

WildCard Machinima motto: "Make 'em laugh, make them cry, make them remember why."

My motto:"We have all the time in the world, the only obsticles are the ones we put in front of us that stop us..."

My friend and I always wanted some bots. I think that this would make a great achievement for Bungie if they end up doing it. It could really help with Machinima purposes. Also this could really be a pain having to program each and everyone of them. But everything has it's Pro's and Con's.

LOL Noobs who said there was even gona be forge lololololololol

I said "assuming", plus just read a bunch of the other responses and i think you will have a pretty good basis about Forge and its return.

PLEASE READ:

(Atleast second paragraph)

A lot of people have been taling about Bots, and Im really not sure by what they mean by this. I don't know if they are talking about Using AI im like a slayer game or any other type of custom game.

When people refer to them as Bots, it makes me think back to Unreal Tournament, and thats not the kind of AI I am talking about...Those things were retarded.

Think of this more as A senario creator, that can create civilized warfare (although war isn't that civil like they say in the Guns N Roses song Civil War) or create Madness and complete Killing on a cosmic scale, if you really want. I know I'd be too tempted to not create massive battles and not just tactical firefights

Hope this might set some people straight on the AI, because I know there are people that aren't going to read the long description at the beginning.

On the new hundred dollar bill the time on the clock tower of Independence Hall is 4:10.

The Main Library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year because when it was built, engineers failed to take into account the weight of all the books that would occupy the building. EPIC FAIL!!

I don't know how well it would work in multiplayer, but that's an interesting idea to be able to comand your AI allies in campaign. Who knows we might see this type of thing in Reach.
Oh, like brothers in arms: hells highway?

The AI in campaign are programmed to their specific environments. There isn't exactly AI that can handle any type of situation that you could create, like in forge. It won't work. How will they know where to go? Where to run if they get out numbered? What works as cover and what doesn't?

This will be a major roadblock for us. Though, Bungie may be able to create a simpler program that automatically knows how to use any object as cover, go around said objects to move, and have set targets to kill. That would be a long shot, people would laugh when the AI inevitably do something stupid, and it would never compare to campaign.

When you say it won't be able to compare to campaign, do you mean it would be better or worse??

I would enjoy throwing in flood AI's so that way in infection no one has to start as a zombie but if you die by the floods hands you have to join them, and how hundreds of flood for a real zombie outbreak kinda feel that would be the only AI's I would need.

well i think i would make huge battles between the U.N.S.C and covenet the drop flood on them and watch what happpens. like when you play online you could be in a huge battle.

Reach MMO. Here's to hoping.

And the people that believe "the hardcore playlists would be more popular if the rules were strictly MLG" can come off it, now. If you're not willing to support something close to your own setup, there's no reason for us to believe that cloning our own lists and stripping the variety down will attract more people. -- Shishka, Bungie.net

Yes, thank you.
