Can you believe it?

It's not like I'm not interested in ODST, it's just that I was more interested in seeing if Bungie could create an awesome new IP instead of more Halo games.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

Im not too fond of the ODST being controled almost exactly as a Spartan, they should have made the character movement up from scratch, think Splinter Cell multi, no center of screen static crosshair, more fluid motion that builds a bit on you catching momentum. Then we have the close combat; please, no meleeing brutes to death, they should just be pushed away a bit so that you have the time to reload or something. Oh, and the health system, na, it would have been much more exiting if your life only regenerated if you had a medikit in your "inventory". Hypospray FTW!

But its no big deal, I'll still enjoy the game.

panzerscarab

theres no MM for firefight

  • 06.27.2009 7:53 PM PDT

- No Battle Rifle (Not that much of a problem but it does decrease weapon variety)
- No mm in Firefight (Seriously?!!!)
- Having to pay $60 for an expansion (I have tons of money, but I also have a sense of value)
- Having to pay for maps I already have (Atleast we get 3 new ones)
- No Elites (Possibly to increase our satisfaction of killing Elites in Halo: Reach)

Really Bungie? You say this is more than an expansion yet you can't even put mm in firefight and co-op. I don't hate Bungie or anything, but when I buy all 3 map packs on release and am a big fan, I expect better than this.

I probably would have bought Halo 3: ODST regardless of paying for the maps a second time, but not putting mm in firefight seems like a big "-blam!- you! People buy our stuff no matter what, so we can make you pay for maps twice and not put in any extra effort into ODST."

Now, I'm really going to have to consider whether Halo 3: ODST is worth my money or not.

Edit: I really hope I don't come across as a Bungie hater or anything, but I really expected more from ODST.

Like every Halo after Halo: Combat Evolved, it lacks new substance, with the exception of equipment, weapons, etc etc. The Gameplay is where my problems are, its either been simplified for the younger underage gamers, or bungie felt lazy (not really I know they bust their butts)

And as an added note: Halo wars I don't even consider to be even part of the Halo trilogy, sure its the same universe and all, but it doesn't take place on any of the rings and what not

I still wish it was 3rd person, and I wish it was done by someone else who understands how the more experienced gamers who have been with the saga since 1991(PC) or whatever feel about the turns bungie has taken.
Dude, you're insane.
