What do you think? Personally I think we could use a more persistent skill and ranking system that actually monitors how well you as an individual do. Yes, I know it's a team game more often than not, but then more often than not if you don't have any friends online, you seem to get stuck with the most asstrocious team imaginable; nobody listening, dying like crazy because nobody's working together. It's not really your fault you got stuck with a bunch of smacktards, so why should you be punished for it?
I've just never been a fan of the Halo 3 ranking system. It all kind of takes away from the "fun" factor when your progression is being slowed though you might have done very well for the match. Obviously if you manage to carry your team in a normal Team Slayer game with 40 kills and two deaths, while the other people on your team have zero kills and 15-20 deaths each, how exactly does that make you individually a bad player? Why aren't you being rewarded for doing so well, despite having your team lose?
I truly hope for something a little different this time around; honestly it could even be the same layout as we currently have, I'd just like it to monitor YOUR skill-- Not the skill of the random, horrible team you were assigned to.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Wants?
