WoW is like Girls Gone Wild without the tits: idiots and douches taking turns doing anything to get noticed, and no one knows what a condom looks like.

Just wondering. I don't think it's been established just how long they've been working on the game, but I've seen a lot of people complaining that the game will be rushed because they've only worked on it for a year or so. I think they worked on it way more than that. The way I see it, they started working on it immediately after Halo 3. After all, right after they released Halo 3, they split off from Microsoft(although Microsoft still owns Halo.) This would give them more creative control, and allow them to do something more revolutionary. Basically, I'm just wondering what other people think. Does anyone know how long they've been working on it?

Yeah, I would say right when the split from Microsoft is when they started working on this.

-blam!- GTFO OF MY SIGNATURE

I think they have been working on it before Halo 3 shipped.

Sometime in 2007. Either when Halo 3 went gold or, as you guys have said, around the time when Bungie split from MSoft.

I tried to smoke some hash, but the corned beef wouldn't light!

When the game is released they being working on it exactly
7 years, 7 months, 7 days, 7 hours, 7 minutes and 7 seconds.

It's just a lucky guess.

You forgot 7 nanoseconds.

Join the 616th ODST Battalion. Drop feet first into Hell... then take out the population. Sign up today!

Probably shortly after finishing Halo 3. Although, this is the one thing pertaining to Halo: Reach that I care the least about. I have confidence that Bungie won't fail us.

Floodians whom I'm in a love square with:

camer guy 65
D A F T (daft_punk)
Sacred Flea

I watch this on loop when I'm bored.

They said they started working on it after Halo 3 was finished.

The original BADFINGER! (the second)

Im sure its been in development for atleast 3 to 4 years getting the story right and all that first, but i reckon the game itself and graphics are probably just beginning, with hopefully.... a new game engine (fingers crossed)

I WANT A KICK ASS GAME LIKE THE CINEMATIC IN HALO WARS.

We don't need a rule for every single freaking thing someone thinks is spam.

A long, long time.

Just think how often, and for how long, Bungie has been saying they have a secret game in production and they can't say anything about it.

Storywise the basic draft of the script script has probably been finished since '06-07, not taking the 1000 plotchanges during developtment in consideration. When it comes to the development of the game it self probably late 2007. Bungie had a really hard time getting Halo 3 finished on time and made a lot of last minute changes which would -probably- not have been possible with two games in development.

I think they started working on it a little bit while making halo 3 then when they were done they worked on it even more.
