The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher regard those who think alike than those who think differently.

I think it shows a fundamental failure of imagination to believe the planet in the Legendary ending is Reach.
Bungie has created a complex and in-depth universe surrounding the Halo games. There have now been several books and games, all taking place in different settings with unique story lines. There are conceivably thousands, if not millions of former Forerunner installations on planets throughout the solar system.
And yet....a small segment of the community is so limited in their capacity for imagination that they cannot accept the idea that any more planets could possibly exist beyond the ones that have already been revealed. Why is it so hard to imagine that Bungie would reveal a planet in the Legendary ending that you have never before seen and will not immediately learn the identity of?
When these people first saw the planet they demanded that it had to be Onyx, despite all the evidence to the contrary because it was the only former Forerunner planet they had knowledge of. Now, these people have to believe it's Reach for the same type of reason. Let it go. You know nothing about the planet from the Legendary ending and it is not immediately going to be explained to you.
Your feeble attempts to create evidence to force that planet into the known Halo universe only serve to expose the limitations of your imagination and reasoning ability.
