shut up and shoot!!!

At the end of Halo 3... MC is not near Reach

When the Dr. and a group of Spartan II and III's get locked inside of the shield at Onyx, did you think that they would be left there forever. Someone has to come and get them, why not Master Cheif.

I mean really though??? Reach? The planet was a military base for humans and yes once a forrunner base, but if there was a ark or shield world close by that made rings, don't you think that the largest human military base in the galaxy would have noticed.

What would be the point of going back to Reach when most of the planet has either been nuked or glassed. It would make more sense if it was another Forerunner planet.

But it is neither, Reach was glassed and Onyx destroyed... maybe another sheild world... maybe one with tech. to open a portal to the other forruner bases and worlds.

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

Uhhh because this is a prequel based around the events told in the books Fall of Reach and First Strike. You aren't going back to Reach. We're defending it from when it was attacked the first time.

Well, your reasoning, in my opinion, is pure rubbish, but I do agree with your postulation that the Chief is floating to Onyx, or another place similar to Onyx, at the end of the Halo 3 Legendary Campaign.

However, this has nothing to do with Reach and belongs in the Halo 3 forum.

IM A LEGIT 16

I think he is talking about the Halo 3 ending.

If he's talking about the game, then go read the description off XBox.com.

It says it is a Prequel based on the planet Reach .

Edit: The Halo 3 ending as Onyx wouldn't make that much sense either.
There is lots of evidence that points towards that planet being near the Ark, which wouldn't make sense since Onyx was in UNSC controlled space.

"It is impossible to prepare for and prevent a war at the same time"
-Albert Einstein

First off, there was no ark within onyx. Onyx was a shield world

Second, the ark isn't anywhere NEAR reach. In fact the ark is 2 to the 18th power lightyears away from the center of the galaxy, which is well beyond the edge of the galaxy, so no they wouldn't have noticed it.

Just because cortana knows how to use forerunner technology does not mean that she is constantly aware of everything forerunner related. Otherwise she'd be WAY more powerful and would know pretty much everything about the galaxy.

Master Chief DID NOT GO TO REACH AT THE END OF HALO 3. People continue to assume this while all of the evidence supports him being anywhere in the galaxy other than reach. In fact, he's not at onyx or another human occupied world at all. At this point in the halo timeline onyx is just a dyson sphere a few meters across surrounded by billions, if not trillions or more, sentinels.

We also know that masterchief is not at a previously occupied human world because EVERY SINGLE HUMAN WORLD WAS GLASSED. Generally when a planet is glassed from orbit there aren't any structures remaining on the ground that would give off light or reflect light in actual shapes like the ones at the end of halo 3.

I don't join any group that spams me in PM so don't try it.
SPAM applies to anything that is copy and pasted, it is very obvious when you do so don't say you wrote it. Also if you argue with me on the nature of things contained in this signature, you will be blocked and never removed. If you send to me in XBox live you will be Avoided, Blocked, and a complaint will be filed for harassment.

Considering that this is not Halo: Onyx and you are speculating on something you know almost nothing about, I shall disregard this.

I only said maybe not that cortana did, i said maybe... and yes there wasn't forrunner base anywhere near Reach (that we know of)... and yes its not a human planet... and yes the sheild world they are stuck in is small but may have portals of its own to other forrunner bases.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME GROUP INVITATIONS

The Halo REACH Script (post thoughts in thread)

Writing Lead of Whisper Studios. Check out Heron!

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

It's probably:

1. Another shield world
2. The Onyx-Shield World in its real-space location
3. A Forerunner world

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

Another shield world, thats what Ive been thinking. Thru it, with the same kind of Slipstream portal, Chief might reach the other Spartans who are stuck in the Micro Dyson Sphere.

But I still dont see why people are convinced that Onyx is destroyed, just go back and read the last chapter, or listen to it (audiobook). It just says that the surface explodes, nothing about the entire planet being destroyed. Yes, the portal to the sphere is destroyed, but that is easely fixed by some sentinels.

EDIT: bit if it is Onyx, where is all the rubble from the surface?
