Subject: What Will Iron do in Firefight?

"Nothing is True, Everything is Permited."

We already know what the other skulls do, but what about iron. Normally for campaign It will make you start the level over when you die. However, in firefight it can't do that. Or can it... This would not make sense to start the whole game over just because you die. It would keep you from getting to harder sets and would defeat the purpose of having lives.

This has been bothering me for awhile. Maybye some of you have ideas as to what the iron skull will do in firefight.

Here is the pic showing the skulls
link

And here is a list of the skulls and their probable effects.

Iron- ???.....
Tough Luck- Enemies evade danger more.
Catch- Enemies throw more grenades.
Black Eye- Melee enemies to regenerate health/stamina.
Tilt- Damage type resistances and weaknesses are amplified.
Famine- weapons that you pick up have less ammo.
Mythic- Enemies can take alot more damage.

Speculate!

It'll probably mean you lose more than one life per death.

If I was in a room with justin Bieber, Bin Laden, Hitler and a gun with two bullets I would Shoot Bieber twice.

when iron is activated it works just like it does in campaign.....when you(or someone else in the party) die(s) you start the round all over again, rounds are like campaigns checkpoints

Yeah, I have to go with the more than one life per death theory.

1 person dies = start the whole round again?

That, or maybe when someone in your team dies, it takes a life from everyone.

when iron is activated it works just like it does in campaign.....when you die you start back at the last round, rounds are like campaigns checkpoints

I don't see this being it's effect. Because once you get to a round where iron is on you wouldn't be able to run out of lives... until you beat it without dying, and proceed to the next round.

how when 1 person dies they go back to the round before or possibly start the entire match over....its my theory and has some support to back it up because they didnt change the skulls around

Wielding a double-bladed chainsaw, wearing a potato sack on your head and spinning around mindlessly is amiably quick at getting anything done

My guess is that when someone dies, everyone is lose a life (they don't die as well but they still lose a life)

Stop with all of the "everyone loses a life". Thats how it is without Iron. Everyone shares the amount of lives. If someone on your team is crappy, oh well =P.
Having Iron on probably restarts the round you are on when someone dies.

My guess. Don't forget that everyone then loses a life.

Number 87 on the assembly line.

Maybe, normally when you die, the total lives goes down one and you respawn after a few seconds. If iron is activated, everyone would restart that wave.

not Pikesmaker

Where is everyone getting the idea that there are "checkpoints" in Firefight? I'm pretty sure it's been explained that regardless of how far you've progressed through Firefight, once your life-pool is depleted, it's Game Over.

Anyway, I think in rounds where Iron is activated, the life-pool is reduced to zero. Makes sense if you think about it

It just willn't be there or somthing I don't know...

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.

Either lose more than 1 life per death, make respawn time higher or prevent anyone from spawning except for 1 player until the level of waves is complete.

Blind is, obviously, used to remove the HUD. Which might be difficult in ODST, you never know.

1 death, restart from round 1 :)

That would be uber.

I think only the Gold Skulls are used in ODST with the option to activate silver at start.

If they are part of it anyway, no problem, just get some tape and a sharpie and make your own crosshair.

Member of team Master Theory.

17th Mythic Conqueror of Halo 3.
5th Mythic Conqueror of ODST.
If you would like to know more about Mythic difficulty please go to this thread. Thank you.

Please do not send me "recruitment messages" as I'm not interested in joining any groups currently.

I'm hoping that Iron causes teamwork in firefight by making the total life pool shrink to one.
That way players who play well together won't be affected, bu unprepared teams will become Brute fodder.

Resets your individual score if you die maybe?
