What if the rookie's personality is not calm quiet and cool but loud and obnoxious and head strong like other heros (Naruto) and has lots of dumb catch phrases like - sonic mario spiderman (sgt. johnson lol)

And he crazy in love with dare lolwtf

Please do not send me group invites. If I were interested in your group, I would have already found it.

I'm betting he's going to be a silent protagonist, à la Gordon Freeman or (for the most part) Master Chief. It allows you to impose your personality onto him and assume the role of "the Rookie".

  • 06.25.2009 6:24 PM PDT

The Rookie is much cooler calm and quiet. I mean he was sleep 30sec before the helljump how badass is that.

  • 06.25.2009 6:31 PM PDT

I hope not. I hate playing as some loud-mouthed jackass. I would rather have him be the team's sniper.

The Rookie will be the "Strong, Silent type" - just like the Chief, except less strong and more silent. I hope. God Forbid the day ODST comes out, it is revealed that the Rookie is voiced by some idiot 10 year old who uses erm... "colorful" language.

The only thing that could make that worse is if he acted like one - he would be jumping around the mission briefing room during the cutscene shown at E3. When Romeo picks up the Sniper Rifle, the Rookie will betray him for it. However, once he regains consciousness in his Pod, he starts screaming for his mommy, causing Covenant patrols to find him and kill him, ending the entire campaign.

I had a very similar thing, only I threw a 14 story building out of a pool and hit a kid on a paper aeroplane.

Isna 'Nosolee, my Sangheili name.

I personally so far find him to be the strong and quiet type.
