I remember watching the Halo 3 previews in 2007. It kept hinting that the Cheif died.(If you dont beleive me watch the previews and listen and watch closly.) Ok, so when the game came out, people played it, some expecting Bungie to put in a twist. When they beat the game, Bungie made them think they were right. But when people found out about the "extra scene", they found out that the cheif lived. Now, here me out. Bungie hints at something. Then BOOM! It hits! You beat the game, and dont watch through the credits (who realy watches them, when you could be playing, right?) So then when it hit the internet, more people found out, people told friends, everything. Even some people, to this day though, thinks the Cheif died. Bungie pulled the ultimate scam... because only true fans payed attention and observed the preview. Then, only some of them watched after the credits. Some dont even know the fate of the main charector, the Cheif. So I ask this, will Bungie do it again? Will they pull the ultimate prank twice, because only few have realized this. (Probably most of you are in the fourm) So will Bungie do this, or trick its true fans even more, by doing something completely different, or will they make us think we knew what was gonna happen all along, again?

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

There's really nothing to trick us on at this point. Maybe later on they will. The people at Bungie are a sneaky bunch.

Warning: You may find that my, or someone else's opinion does not comply with yours. Side effects of disagreement may include (but are not limited to): flaming, irrational behavior, broken keyboards, and/or nervous sweats. If you experience any of these symptoms refrain from communicating with others until the symptoms have subsided.

I don't know if they will. But I think that they should do it again; it's a great marketing ploy and gives a suspenseful ending that doesn't completely devastate the audience. Plus it separates the nubs from the real fans.

Indeed. Not to mention people actually watch the credits sometimes when these movies are posted afterwards.

this is a prequel, we all (should) know how Halo: The Fall of Reach ends and Halo: Combat Evolved begins. they cannot put a twist

That's not entirely true. There were actually a lot of details that were left out.

im not sure to be honest but i dont see any reason for them to do it again because i've read the book and im not saying what happens but there is really nothing for us to be tricked about in this game!

They could trick us by not even putting us in the battle. The book never covered the battle really, just the 15 minute space mission the Chief had. The trailer could be the END of the game b4 Chief leaves and the main part of the game could be all of the Spartans training and so on like in the book. This being.....if Bungie were to ever trick us. I still think the Battle of Reach would be cooler than the training on Reach (which was a good read by the way).
