As we should all know everytime while duel - weilding, you can not keep both duel weilds. If you melee, you drop one, and if you try to switch weapons, you drop one. So for Halo : Reach could we possibly keep both duel weilded weapons by holstering one on each leg?

Another thing, I believe it would also be nice to have a "lower weapons" button, or "holster weapons" button with the D-pad and without a crazy button combination only available offline, no-one really got to use it in Halo 3 except for two functions, a flashlight, and to talk. If we do get to holster our weapons, could we have a separate melee system for fists? Like Right trigger (right punch) Left trigger (left punch).

7hank you :)

To the interwebs!

The top half of this thread is already being discussed:

And for the second part, no. If we start to implement all this technical fetures, it's stop becoming the rush and attack Halo everyone loves, and become too tactical, which vast majority of players do not like doing. As it requires patience and solitude.

If you don't like using a feature, then simply do not use it.

Anyway, it has nothing to do with being tactical. He's talking about the lower-weapons function that people use for machinima, and nowhere does he insinuate he wants it implemented for tactical strategy.

How is lowering, holstering weapons, or keeping both SMGs tactical?

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

If not a holstering system, I would like for an option to remove weapons period and force melee's. It makes for some funny games.
