Something that I have missed throughout the advancement of the Halo franchise was one of the more over-looked features that was left behind in the transition from Halo: Combat Evolved, and that was the first-person perspective of riding in the passenger seat of a Warthog. Not only was the illusion of being inside of the Warthog a huge help in helping immerse me into the game's environment, but it was a hell of a lot of fun experiencing all of the bumps, turns, and even the crashes and rolls first-hand!
I miss it dearly and would gladly trade third-person for first-person to return. Instead, however, I think it would greatly benefit the players to have this be an optional setting in the game.
What do the rest of you think?
I know some swear by the new 3rd-person due to it being a hell of a lot easier to aim and not having to deal with the vehicle's movements, but if it were optional, would you ever use it?
