Subject: Who said it was Fall of Reach?

It's not called "Halo: Fall of Reach". It is "Halo Reach". When did Bungie say that the game was based on "Fall of Reach"? Becouse I can't see how they would be making a game based on a book that everyone knows about. It wouldn't be showing us any new story. If Bungie has said that the game is based on Fall of Reach, sorry, my mistake, but I don't recall them doing so.

So let's all just stop saying "Halo Reach is Halo: Fall of Reach, and everyone who says anything ells should shut up!" becouse I've been hearing a lot of that recontly. Oh, and if you try to prove me wronge, please include links!

Ummm. The tagline is "From the beginning you know the end" I think we can assume.

No one said it is. I think, it might be about the fall of reach and first strike. But that's just me. Plus who are you to say it's not about the Fall of Reach. Bungie gives us nothing so we can think about it and try to get it on our own.

And lastly who to say it can't be about the book. The game doesn't have to include all the text or make the game word to word. Bungie can include extra stuff.

And FYI, if you see the trailer. I do see reach falling!

This just means that it has to be before the final of Halo 3. It can be anywhere in the timeline, Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, even the first battle on earth (I would like that, but probably not going to happen)

if it's not a prequel, it will be at an empty and inhabitable planet because the covenant glassed it. the fact that there's 5 spartans in the picture means it's not a sequel because the only four that might be alive are MIA. they are either dead or trapped on Onyx. Then there's master chief who's floating in space. bungie said it's a prequel, also it says "Falls 2010"

Right there, your saying it can't be The fall of Reach and your using Bungie has a source.
Btw this is what bungie is telling us about reach and recon

The beginning of what though? You fail to see how these words can be twisted to new meanings.

OK, it's a prequel to the Halo Seiries, but all that means is that it has to be before Halo 1!

I see it as: "from the beginning of the game, you know how Reach will end." Bungie isn't trying to trick us with any complex meanings.

I think they were being pretty obvious when it said in the trailer that the game "falls 2010" - clearly a pun on the fall of Reach.

Yea meaning it has to be the battle of Reach aka the fall of reach or First Strike! Or unless Bungie goes the other way.

  • 06.26.2009 12:21 PM PDT

It also says Falls in 2010 that would be pretty retarded if it didn't

  • 06.26.2009 12:22 PM PDT

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

The only theories that have been attacked are those that go against Halo canon and things that Bungie has already commented/weighed in on in times past. Given the wealth of backround information regarding Reach, it doesn't matter if the game is gonna follow the book or not, unless Bungie is gonna be dumb about it, they aren't going to re-write their own history for the sake of a game.

So while the game is not confirmed to be based on anything, the theories based off of what is in the books are far more viably, not to mention believable than many of the halfbaked theories that pop up. Theories and debates are fun, but when garbage that makes no sense within the established universe keeps flying around, it will get criticised.

I don't really need to provide a link for this... look at the top of this forum. At the bottom right it says "Falls 2010". Funny play of words? I think not.

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

It's probably a new story, with S-259 and S-320. But it is probably based around the fall of reach (the event, not the book).
